FYI: Pandora Black Friday Limited Edition Bangles

Hi everyone!! It feels a bit weird blogging after so long, especially after the fiasco of Instagramageddon LOL. In case you were wondering, I never got my account back and just resigned myself to starting a new account, someone (thanks Olga) suggested I leave them a bad review on the apple store so maybe that will work, but again I’m not holding my breath.  Thank you to all of you who left so many kind messages on my last post, it really meant a lot to me!

Now getting back to the post, I meant to make this post long before the crap that happened to me regarding my IG account, and now that it’s November, it’s the perfect time to make this post I think. Many, many thanks to Cindy Lo for providing the information and picture from which I’m basing this whole post on!

So I like to use my blog as a way to reference long gone items, (remember when I used to be able to chronicle what was retiring before Pandora decided to just get rid of things on a whim?), it started to happen so quickly and without notice that I was unable to keep up and I think I stopped chronicling retired items way back in 2018. Having said that, I thought it would be a great idea to chronicle the limited edition Black Friday Pandora bangles!! And once again, thanks to Cindy, I am able to do that! Let’s take a trip down memory lane:

Black Friday 2014

This was the bracelet that started it it all! I remember when I heard about it I was so excited! By this time Pandora had already been doing their Black Friday limited edition charms so it was a natural progression to offer bangles or other types of carriers as well. I did purchase this one and I’m very happy to be the owner of this bangle. I’ve only worn it a handful of times LOL (what a surprise!) but I treasure it. I also just realized that this was the only bangle I bought during the promotion, the rest I skipped because I didn’t much care for the designs. I believe the bangle was free with a $125 purchase during Black Friday, then was offered separately for $75. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Black Friday 2015

Next is the bow bangle, it was not my favorite design, so I’m glad I skipped it, again I believe this and all other bangles were offered free with $125 purchase, and then $75 afterwards.

Black Friday 2016

This one was a truly beautiful bangle!! But I remember skipping it because it was too seasonal, and I don’t really like seasonal only jewelry. I do make the exception NOW on my Pandora Christmas bracelet and Black Friday charms, but I remember back then I didn’t want to make a Christmas bracelet, my how things have changed!!!!

Black Friday 2017

Again I skipped this one because even though I love hearts, I didn’t care for the engraving or the shape of the heart, happy because every time there’s something I don’t love, my wallet thanks me LOL! Also whenever I don’t splurge on Pandora I usually end up splurging on X Jewellery.

Black Friday 2018

Next we have the fireworks bangle which I thought was interesting because it’s more of a New Years theme, which also fits in with the engraving of “The best is yet to come.” Man if we had only know what really was to come…yikes. This bangle I actually did want, but I was short on funds since this was the year we did a lot of travelling so I skipped it, but so happy I did! I ended up getting it for half off on a website that was liquidating their Pandora stock.

Black Friday 2019

And lastly we have the 2019 bangle! I again skipped this one as I don’t much care for the textured bangle, I mean it’s beautiful! But hard to keep clean, I’ve seen friends who own this bangle and it has a weird yellow tinge because it’s hard to clean it and restore it to it’s formal glory. There are chemical ways to make it shine again, but I hardly take the time to clean my jewelry like I should so I was good not getting this one.

Black Friday 2020

And so now we come to the year 2020 which has been a crazy, weird, and hard year for a lot of us. I’m sure the stores already have the bangle ready to go. Deborah has kindly reminded me that the 2020 BF bangle is an open bangle with a stationary crescent moon on one side and a removable ball (globe?) on the other. I have actually seen this bangle already but for some reason didn’t realize it was the 2020 BF LE bangle, thanks again Deborah!  Once the pictures are out (officially) I will update this post to reflect it!’

UPDATE 4/15/21: I got confused with the Asia exclusive bangle that has a little blue globe on the end but the above picture is the 2020 Black Friday bangle. I ended up finding one on Ebay for less than $40 so I consider myself very lucky for having waited!! I love that for 2020 they did something a little different, it’s a nice change from the regular bangle!

What do you think of this post? Was it helpful to see all of the Black Friday bangles in one place? I want to do a Black Friday LE charm post too, but that one is a little trickier and might need you guys to help me with it. Which one is your favorite bangle?

There is a winter promotion free bangle that is an open bangle with a stationary crescent moon on one side and a ball removable end with stars on it on the other. It will be a gift with purchase sometime in early December I think.

oh I’ve seen it! For some reason it didn’t dawn on me that that was the BF bangle, I think I thought it was an Asian exclusive. SO that’s the bangle for 2020, very interesting, now I don’t know what to think LOL.

It is great to see you again! Yes, I find posts about retired Pandora jewelry very helpful. Looking at the bracelets, I think I have only been collecting since 2016. I often go back to look at the defunct Mora Pandora & Charms Addict blog posts. I has really helped me because I don’t have all the catalogs.
I do hope you post about the charms, that would be fun.
I do have the 2017 heart bangle, got it on Rue a while back. I like the 2016 snowflake it looks pretty.
Thanks again for the fun post!

Thank you Heather! Yes I’ve been wanting to make this blog post for awhile, and now that it’s November I figured it was time, before I forgot!! I think my favorites are the ones I got, the 2014 and the 2018, so happy I was able to get my hands on those!!

Glad this post can help out! I do the same! I use Mora Pandora and even my own blog to reference when a certain item was retired or released!

I will post the charms, I just think it will be a bit more challenging as Pandora has kind of changed they way they do things certain years, like offering two BF options and then only one different years, it’s really quite confusing, so I think I’ll probably be making some mistakes with it.

I’m so happy you are blogging again Jahndra! Thanks for all the info on the limited edition bangles.

I started collecting in 2018 and looove the Fireworks bangle! 🎆 I’m very excited to get the Moon and Star open bangle! This one looks awesome!

    • Jahndra says:

OH so it’s a moon and star….I’m telling you I can’t remember anything anymore. I think it’s because I’m getting confused with the Asian exclusive, that one probably has the globe LOL

Uh lovely post! I startet collecting in 2018 (again since way back when I was a teenager),, and I startet because they had the free bangle promo with the fireworks, but I didnt get because I had fallen for the mesh bangle, which is my favorittttttt bracelet, even though it’s hard to clean, which you are totally right that it is. I’ve regrettet so many times since I didn’t get the fireworks bangle! I didnt know it was a limited edition or collectable 🤷‍♀️ Silly me! I do see it for sale here, but it’s pretty expensive and always too small or too big! Of course I really really love the 2019 mesh bangle and it’s the one I permantly use as my Christmas bracelet. Though this year Ive also purchased a pearly white woven leather bracelet to the mix, which Im planning to use my Pandora Rose Christmas charms on! Im very excited for this! Though Im a little bit afraid it has become too big, but that is a totally different story! And would you believe it?!- I dont own a single regular bangle or open bangle! So Ive very excited for this years bangle 😁 Thanks for the post!

    • Jahndra says:

I’m sure one day you will find the bangle for the right price and the right size!!

OOOh so you plan on getting this years? I do love the design especially because it is celestial, but I worry because of the crescent moon that will catch on a sweater or something with my luck!

      • Pernille Elgaard Jensen says:

Yes! I want to get this years bangle! Ive never had Pandora catch on clothes, But that crescent Moon might be the first 🤷‍♀️

  5. Olga says:

I like this type of bangles, but I don’t have any bange because 17 size a little bit tight and 19 too big (probably possible to resize 19 to smaller size, but i don’t know)

    • Jahndra says:

oh no! You happen to be one of those rare girls who are in between sizes! That is too bad, I guess you can go to a 19cm and with beads on it maybe it won’t fit too loose?
