FYI: Pandora Black Friday Limited Edition Charms

Hello everyone! Back again this time cataloging the Pandora Black Friday limited edition charms! I will say this one will be a bit challenging as it’s hard to find official stock photos of the charms, so the photos might be mismatched, so Google will have to help me figure it out! I also want to say that because Pandora has offered two different BF charms on some years, it will be difficult to pinpoint exactly which is which charm, read on so you can see what I mean.

Black Friday 2011

I often forget that technically this one is the very first BF charm ever! I don’t know why I always forget, I guess it’s good that I’m making this blog post to refer to so that I won’t forget again. I never really cared for this charm, but I like it because it has that old Pandora look and style to it, with real gold and what I think is black enamel? It was also called Midnight Heart, and I’ll try to find the official names for the other BF charms. I also like this one because I remember the promo behind it, when they advertised it, they showed the charm peeking from behind a curtain and you could barely see it.

Black Friday 2012

This was the first BF charm I got, I believe it sold separately for $75, but again, correct me if I’m wrong. I love this charm because of the little tag on top, although I have heard that the it’s prone to getting caught and torn off, mine is still intact thankfully! The official name of this charm is Precious Gift.

Black Friday 2013

I remember this charm getting a lot of hype and it sold out rather quickly! I think it was because this is when Pandora started to cover all of their charms in cubic zirconia and it was still rather novel. The charm is called Let It Snow with the 2013 engraved on the side where the core opening is. I think this charm may be hard to find, but I haven’t done any research to confirm this.

Black Friday 2014

For 2014 we continue with the pave look, and we have our first dangle charm! I remember a lot of  Pandora fans not loving this one because there is a funny divide among Pandora collectors: those who love dangles and those who absolutely hate them! Where do you stand on that? I don’t mind them, at one point I even wanted to make a bracelet with nothing but dangles on them, I still kind of do, but that work in progress will have to wait until I either have the funds or I decide I want to splurge on Pandora again (I don’t see that happening any time soon). The official name of this charm is Christmas Wish.

Black Friday 2015

Next we have yet again the pave covered charm LOL, and our second two tone in the collection! This one I thought was cute as it was supposed to be a snow globe, a bit of a hard charm to design I think. I like that they used a silver enamel as the base though. The official name of this charm is Wonderland.

Black Friday 2016

Next is the beautiful Poinsettia (which is also it’s official name btw), and even though it’s once again covered in cubic zirconias, I have to say the fact that it’s not round, or sphere shaped, and that it’s red is what appealed to me. I of course picked this one up as well! I do own all of the BF charms with the exception of the 2011, and I feel a bit trapped like I have to collect them all now. I did plan on stopping when the 2019 came out but I gave in and bought it as well, and now I feel the same way for the 2020, I don’t love it but feel like I have to get it because I’ve been collecting them all so far. At least I stopped collecting the club charms, those I was able to let go of for sure!

Black Friday 2017

OK no here is where things starts to get a little confusing for me, and the main reason why I wanted to chronicle all of the Black Friday charms. For some reason Pandora came out with two Black Friday charms, one is the Stocking  as you can see (I think that is it’s official name), and first Rockettes charm. Again, correct me if I’m wrong here but I wondered why Pandora came out with two BF charms? I think maybe the stocking was meant to me the only BF charm and the Rockettes charm was meant to be a one and done collab between Pandora and the Radio City Rockettes?  I don’t know but my confusion gets worse for the 2018 charms.

Black Friday 2018

Soooooo for 2018, I could not find a non Rockettes-centric Black Friday charm, did Pandora release two Rockettes charm that year? I thought I maybe remembered seeing the Stocking with a 2018 engraved on it, on top of these two other Radio City charms, but I can neither remember or find them online. I’m also not sure if they are both official BF charms or if the white Rockettes is the official one and the Radio City Music Hall one was a seasonal or LE or what the heck it was!! If anyone has any information regarding this I would LOVE for you to let me know!

Black Friday 2019

Next we come to 2019, which I have to saw was a great disappointment for me. I ended up getting this from the Jared 50% sale (which I still have to film!), but it just didn’t do anything for me. I like the design, of course the little star or snowflake on top of the dangle, and the ornate design on the sphere itself, but why did they have to make it blue? I love blue, don’t get me wrong, but it completely clashes with the rest of the Black Friday charms. And yes, Pandora probably doesn’t realize that some collectors are designing bracelets grouping all of the BF charms together, I know there are some that are making whole 20th anniversary bracelets using all of the 20th anniversary charms, so it’s not unusual to do this. But maybe use white again? Or even green? At least red and green are complimentary colors and they are Christmas colors LOL. I know I’m being picky here, so please forgive me, but for my designing plans, the 2019 didn’t help.

Black Friday 2020

And now we finally come to 2020. I don’t really know what to say about this charm…let’s start with the bad. WHY did they have to make it Rose???? WHY WHY WHY. If I didn’t say enough about how the 2019 clashes, this one will definitely clash with my design LOL. Ok let’s move on to the good, I love the design! I love that they made this more of a vintage shape of a Christmas ornament rather than a round one. I don’t know if I care for the bow, but it’s a nice little extra to have. I like the actual net-like design of the ornament itself, it reminds me of another Pandora design but I can’t put my finger on it. Something to do with lace. Also I know that Pandora has released some Christmas charms in the Rose finish so for all of you out there who have a Rose Christmas bracelet, this is perfect for you!

And there you have it guys! All of the Pandora Black Friday charms chronicled for your reference! Again if someone out there can clear up the whole 2018 charm craziness I would really appreciate it, I don’t like not knowing or remembering what happened there. SO which one is your favorite one? Do you own all, some or none of these? I think mine are the 2012, 2013, and 2016 in that order! Do you plan on getting the 2020? Let me know in the comments below!

Super Disappointed. They really could of put more effort. My favorite was the silver ornament for 2018. My aunt has that hanging on her tree. Looks pretty.

I had no idea they did two? for some years. Thanks for rounding all of these charms up!
    I have 2015, 2016, 2017 ornament and 2018 ornament and I just ordered 2014 from Rue.
I did get all of them on Rue or some other sale. The charm for this year reminded me
of a Fabergé egg, not a vintage ornament and I have many a vintage ornaments! The 2013 charm
is pretty. Why are they called Black Friday charms if they come out before Black Friday? Or was
this year the exception? I did pick up the new Xmas tree & the mistletoe charms. I am glad they
were on sale! I have to say I am getting cheaper in my old age and will no longer pay full price 😄
    Have a nice Thanksgiving!
    Thanks for the post!

Wow so sorry for not replying sooner!!! I didn’t see this post get any comments and now there’s some and I’m playing catch-up! Ooh yea I can see the faberge egg for sure!! Yes they all seem to end up on rue, lol that is why I stopped freaking out about getting them during that Black Friday window.

They are called Black Friday charms because before in the past that is when they were released. Pandora used to not go on sale EVER, not even during Black Friday. They only ever had two promotions, one in March and one in September and it was the free bracelet event. They’ve come a long way since then with their constant sales now!

I know what you mean about not paying full price, I’m there with you for sure!! Their stuff is definitely not worth full price!! I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving too!!

Wish Pandora would make all charms avaiable (cant spell that word) for everyone. And all gifts with purchase.. 🙄

    • Jahndra says:

Yes me too, it’s weird how they discriminate between North America, Europe and Asia. Just let everyone have the same things! Release everything in all countries, I mean how hard is that lol.

So disappointed with Pandora Christmas charms and bracelets (or LACK of in recent years….particularly 2020). I have been waiting for the last 2 years for a Christmas bangle to get for my daughters (on a Black Friday deal of course) with classic, pretty Christmas charms. Just another disappointment in the year 2020.

    • Jahndra says:

Yes unfortunately I completely agree with you. Seems the pandemic has affected everything, I suspect that is the main reason the designs aren’t great? Who knows. Hopefully 2021 they will do better.

Did you find it? It’s a glass snow globe put out in the trays like any of the holiday charms. I was disappointed there wasn’t more of a presentation for it. I like the charm though, once I found it

    • Jill Helen Gehrhardt-Ulrich says:

Yes it is a Morano Glass dangling snow globe with 2021 on it. Not officially named a BF Christmas charm but the one with 2021 on it. Look at the Christmas charms on their site. Sold out in stores so I purchased new on EBay for a decent discount. I have all of the BF charms, and you used to be able to ID them as their product ID number started with BF and the number. For the past few years they have not expressly ID’ed them the same, which made it harder to know which was really the one. I have all from 2011 to 2021, including the 2 from 2017. I don’t collect much, but when I collected these, I eventually made it a strictly Christmas bracelet.

      • Meredith says:

Does your stocking have 2017 on the top? The official Pandora pics show it but it is not present on the ones I have seen for sale online. Just curious

  6. Meredith says:

The stocking is called winter surprise. I found a couple online but am leery because they do not have 2017 on the top of the stocking and the official pics clearly do.

    • Jahndra says:

There’s the catch…I think some won’t have the 2017 on them because the stocking wasn’t meant to be the official black friday charm, the rockettes one was. Or maybe the rockettes was just an extra and the stocking was the official one but they recycled it and just slapped the 2017 number on it. I recall seeing the stocking without the 2017 on it and it was a legit pandora charm. I’m sorry I just now say your comment. Hope this response helps clear up some confusion.
