FYI: My Xpressions Turns Seven!!

Oh my gosh you guys, can you believe I’ve had this blog now for seven years!!! I had to do the math a couple of times to make sure it was right! But yes, it’s been seven years, my how time passes!

I could go on to say that unfortunately I haven’t met a lot of the goals and dreams I had set up for myself, and that many others that came after me have, but I’m choosing not to dwell on it. I’m choosing not to stress as there are plenty of other real world problems I can focus on and in the grand scheme of things my online presence (or lack thereof) is really not a big deal. I started this blog to have fun and to relieve stress and at some points it actually turned into a stressor instead. So I’m turning a new page. I’ll try to get back to showcasing my older, more precious jewelry items like I used to and if I ever come across news like I still do from time to time I’ll let you all know ad always!

Once again thank you to all of my constant supporters and readers, I know you are few but you are steadfast and loyal and I appreciate every single one of you!!

Wow! 7 years already. Happy 7th blog anniversary wishes Jahndra 🎉🍾✨

This blog is a great way to express your feelings, thoughts and to connect with all of us from over the world. You might feel like you didn’t reach all sorts of goals you put on yourself. But instead you’re connecting so much people. Just like the quote “the end justifies the means” doesn’t hold up anymore, in these modern times. Setting up certain goals are not that important anymore. Look what these past 2 years got us all.
Just live in the moment, have fun. Be yourself. It’s your authenticity what makes you as a person amazing. And your blog fabulously great.

Keep on writing, creating and let the intimidation and scaremongering from a certain ‘blend’ with plating behind. You are still classic and stylish. You didn’t change. They did…
Others put negativaty on you. I hope your blog readers and I can sent you some virtual positivity.

Thanks for the 7 years of your time and inspiration Jahndra.

    Love, Cath

Thank you so much Cath, your words mean so much to me. That is what I’m trying to do, to let go, to not stress about every little thing and to have fun with my blog again. I struggle so much to just live in the moment. My husband always tells me the same thing too. If we try to plan a day out and don’t get through our list I start to stress because I feel like it puts us behind. Or if we just get distracted and don’t do much of what we had planned out but we are having fun, again I can’t fully relax because in the back of my mind I know I’ll have so much to do later. I am trying so hard to just let go and enjoy the moment.

Thank you so much again Cath, you’re right, they changed, I didn’t. So I will hold on to that part of my past, to when they used to make and create nice quality items, and I will forever carry that torch of nostalgia, and not give a crap who it annoys LOL.

    Happy Blog Birthday!
    I second what Cath posted.
If the past two years taught us anything
it is to do what makes you happy. Life
    is way too short.

PS. I think I figured out MCU means from your last post. It has been bugging
me since I read it. I will let you know if I am right later
    this year.

Do or did you ever buy from RueLaLa? I got my free shipping renewal email $50,
and I can’t figure out if it is worth it again. I am only searching for 2 retired charms – Queen
Bee and Edelweiss and have all the retired Disney charms I wanted. Any thoughts?

    • Jahndra says:

Indeed! Life is way too short! Well using the acronym for the MCU isn’t copyrighted by that certain company LOL but just to be safe let’s just say it’s not the DC comics but the other one hahahah!

Oh yes I used to buy from Rue La La all the time! I stopped because nothing new has popped up and now it seems like it’s the same ol same ol stuff. I’m on the fence with their shipping renewal thingy. On one hand I kind of wish I did pay for it because every time I want to buy something I can’t bring myself to spend $10 on shipping. So I think it’s definitely worth it if you buy from them all the time.

Those charms the queen bee and edelweiss are hard to come by, especially on rue la la since they don’t offer oldies too often. I guess I would have to go back on your orders and see how much you’ve used rue la la to see if it’s worth it. Let me know what you end up doing!

Haha I was right! I have no idea why it took me so long to figure out, it’s
not like I don’t see them every time I turn on Disney+!!! 🙂

I just shut off the automatic renewal. I will probably kick myself but maybe
it will make me think a bit more before I order. And I agree the same charms
keep showing up on their site and I have all the Disney ones. And sometimes I ordered
just because I wanted a package to come in the mail! I haven’t been to stores other than
Target, and that doesn’t count because it is always for necessities not fun useless things, because
of covid. Just before Xmas I said to my husband I just want to go to the King of Prussia mall
and walk around. Which is socking for me to say since I worked retail
most of my life and generally do not like the mall. Oh, well.

Stay warm, not sure where you are but it is freezing here outside of Philly and the rest of the
country looks cold too! Where is spring! 😉

  3. Jahndra says:

HAhaha i know what you mean, I worked retail as well but don’t mind strolling the mall, although because of covid I haven;t been by in awhile. December I went to Pandora a couple of times to take part of their sales but it had been a long time since I had gone, plus I like to daydream and remember what it felt like to go clothes shopping at department stores LOL. Now I shop at discount stores like Marshall’s, Ross, and Walmart!

With Rue I am still tempted to buy either duplicates of items I already own or pick up a couple of things that got away, but I just can;t bring myself to spend $10 on shipping. Its a real turn off and a good deterrant to not buy anything anymore.

I can wait for spring, I love the cold weather. today the high was already 70 so I pray it stays cold as long as possible!
