My Thoughts On: Plans For My Xpressions In 2022

Hi everyone!!! Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! I almost forgot to make my annual New Year’s post! In these posts I typically go through my goals for the new year and what goals I accomplished last year, but I didn’t really make any goals for 2021. I allowed myself to not stress over having to constantly post and so I didn’t. My blog may have suffered for it (I.e. engagement is way down) but in the great scheme of things I don’t really care LOL!

Many times I have considered just taking the whole thing down, getting rid of my domain and save the money that it takes to keep this site running, but I can’t seem to pull the trigger yet. This is not a threat or a passive aggressive move, it’s just how I feel sometimes. The cool thing about running a blog called My Xpressions means I get to express myself on it, not just through jewelry but also through non-jewelry related posts! I don’t really have any big plans for this blog, once again it’s just to try to post more and to post more content like I used to back in the early days of this blog when I used to post about my older pieces. I meant to post my Christmas themed bracelet, but once again I ran out of time. I had enough time to post about the after Christmas sale, or about my bracelet and I chose to post the sale list in order to help out my readers plan their purchases. Let me know if I should still post my Christmas themed bracelet even in the new year hehe. But getting back to my plans for this blog, unfortunately, I think the days when I used to review things are over but never say never! If I ever come by previews again and if I feel it is safe to post about them using code I will. Speaking of which, I already got to see some of the new MCU themed charms, and I do have to say they are really cute!!! Thanks to M for sending me the previews!!!

I would also like to revisit my “podcast” I haven’t done one in over a year since the app I use needs two people to make it work, so I’ve considered letting my husband come on and we can talk about silly things, this podcast doesn’t necessarily have to be jewelry centric. I mean jewelry is very visual so I don’t know how I can maintain a jewelry themed podcast so not every topic has to be about jewelry. I have some ideas on what I want to talk about but I will keep them to myself for now as sometimes I feel that once I announce things, they seem to not happen for me or someone else “gets” the same idea and executes it before I can.

As for YouTube I think I have finally run out of ideas! Last year I got really lazy and unmotivated to post regularly and so I ended up playing this weird game of catchup with me posting March content in August and so forth. I literally have maybe two more ideas on what I want to post but I have been sitting on those ideas for years now because in my mind I thought once I post these I’m officially done and out of “fresh” ideas. I can’t rely on posting collection videos as if I keep posting them, eventually my audience will grow bored of this stale content so I’m kind of at a loss for content. I haven’t done a “design a ring stack with me” in awhile so that can be fun, and I can keep posting my online catalog featuring older charms, but other than that, I’m fresh out of ideas!!

I will also continue to keep selling certain items on my Facebook selling page. It’s been awhile since I’ve sold anything, so maybe it’s time to have another sale!! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I started a Facebook selling group called Jahndra’s Jewelry, here is the link if you would like to join: Jahndra’s Jewelry | Facebook. It is open to USA residents only since the USPS right now is a royal mess and I do not feel comfortable shipping internationally. I have a package right now that was sent priority overseas. It should’ve arrived in two weeks, I sent it on 12/9/21 and the person has yet to receive it.

Other than that, I do not have any new plans for my blog. I hope to be motivated enough this year to post more regularly, and I greatly appreciate all of you who still read my posts, who still comment and who are still supporting a small time blogger like myself. Thank you so so so much!! Here’s to a better year than 2020 and 2021!

    Happy New Year!

You do you. I will love reading whenever you feel like posting.

Since my Mom passed away in November, I didn’t feel very festive during the holidays. I took out and cleaned my Christmas charms, but never assembled any bracelets. However, I’m always up to see other peoples, so post yours now if you feel like it.

Thanks for doing the sale list. It was especially useful this year since things literally flew off the sites. Having a plan in advance really helped.

I’m so so sorry to hear about your mom… I can’t imagine what that must’ve felt like, especially so close to the holidays. I didn’t feel festive either, but of course for other reasons. I hope you are able to find solace and comfort soon. Unfortunately the passing of a love one is a scar that never ever heals. The pain is always there, it just scabs over in order to help us function. Sending virtual hugs!

I’m glad the list helped you! If I am ever able to get my hands on the sale lists, I will always try to post here in order to help others plan out their purchases!! XOXO

aw thanks!! I totally will! It will be fun to take photos of it and see how my bracelet has progressed through the years!

    Happy New Year Jahndra!
This year has been hard on most and for different reasons.
I feel like I am trapped in a Twilight Zone episode and can’t
get out. And things I used to enjoy – like getting lost in the Pandora
world was hard to do. This holiday I went back and read old blog
posts and watched old Pandora youtube videos and felt a bit lighter.
So please, post anything you want I don’t care how old or mismatched with the season.
If you decide not to, enjoy what you are doing instead!

As always thanks for your constant support Heather!! I really appreciate it! I can completely relate to that as well! I feel like I’m still stuck in 2020 and here we are now in 2022! I will definitely post my Christmas bracelet and hopefully you will all enjoy seeing how it’s evolved as well! Stay safe and healthy and here’s to a new year!!

I am new to Pandoraand love the charms but there so small and expensive. I could learn from you experienced one. Don’t quit keep going. There’s others like me. Keep the faith

Thank you so much Kathy! So sorry I just now saw your comment. I am usually better about catching comments on my blog post but this one got away from me. Thank you so much for your comment. Yes I will try to keep going, it’s already been two months since this blog post and I haven’t posted because I’ve been so so busy! But I know I always have the option to post whenever I want to. I will try very hard to post something soon! Thanks again!
