Review: Pandora Oak Leaf Double Ring

Hello everyone and welcome to the first post for the month of September. I know! I usually try to post at least once a week, but with everything that’s been going on it’s been hard. I’ve been a bit disenchanted with social media lately too, I might do an IG story to explain why, we’ll see. AND since there really was no September promo, and the autumn collection was released, I felt like there wasn’t too much news to talk about.

But I digress, back to the fact that I’m posting a review! Also this review is dedicated to Nichol from My Pandora Charmed Life, I’ll also explain why as you continue to read this post.

First Impression:

When I first saw this ring in the launch guide that I was lucky enough to preview, I was so excited!!!! I love two finger rings, I only own one, it’s made out of  brass, it’s very comfortable to wear and it’s shaped in an angel’s wing (which I love!). Because it’s not made out of a precious metal, the rings themselves are adjustable so you can wear them on practically any finger on your hand. Here is a picture of my ring:

Anyway, the fact that Pandora made a double ring was very, very exciting! It showed that Pandora was getting into the more current trends, and I’m always drawn to different types of jewelry that are not necessarily common (in this case the double ring, in other cases: ear crawlers, arm cuffs, ear threaders, ear cuffs, slave bracelets, etc.). I couldn’t wait to see this in real life and it’s the first thing I went to when the Autumn collection was released.

Review:

I love the size of it, because you can see the amazing hand crafted work, you can see the details of the leaf and the cubic zirconia accents and in this case it’s PERFECTION.

Unfortunately this is where my positive comments end. As I started to play around with the ring, I began to see issues with it and I was sorely disappointed as I had to take this item off my wish list as I just couldn’t make it work for me. A couple of months ago, I forgot how we came about discussing this, but Nichol had mentioned that she was concerned that this ring would make her feel claustrophobic, and now I not only completely concede to her point, but I will demonstrate exactly how!

Here is me wearing the ring:

Looks perfect, but don’t be fooled. I immediately felt what Nichol was talking about:

Here is a picture of my fingers completely splayed out so you can see the difference between the spacing of my fingers:

I just couldn’t ignore it. The ring actually constricts the movement of my fingers to the point where I can’t move them freely. It is a bit of a weird sensation. I tried wearing it on my ring finger and pinky finger, but that didn’t work out either:

The store I visited didn’t have too many rings in stock, I think they only got two or three sizes, but the one I chose was my size, which is a size 7:

I thought maybe if I tried a larger size I could make it work, but they didn’t have a size bigger, so I was stuck with what I had, I’ll still wonder if perhaps trying a bigger size would solve the issue with this ring but for now I’ll never know. I’ll try to remember to update this review if they ever get a larger sized ring so I can try it on and see how it feels.

After I came home I started to wonder why this ring didn’t work. The last time I wore my angel wing ring I didn’t remember it feeling constrictive in the slightest, so I thought maybe it was in the ring design, below is a picture of the ring holes:

And a picture of my ring:

I don’t really see a difference in the ring design, if anything the design on the Pandora ring looks like it would work better, it looks like you would have more room for the fingers to wiggle around in.  Then I decided to put my angel wing ring back on and then I felt it LOL:

The same thing happened! My fingers were indeed constricted with this ring as well, for some reason I just never felt it or noticed it, my last impression of wearing this ring was that it was super comfortable and yes I did feel a tiny bit restricted in movement but not enough where it bothered me. If you really look at the above picture, you’ll be able to see that I still have space between my middle and ring finger (more space than what the oak leaf ring gave me), which is why I probably didn’t notice, and why I thought the Pandora ring was going to be perfect.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I think that if Pandora remade this ring with the adjustable ring holes similar to my angel wing ring, or perhaps just made the gaps for their existing ring holes even larger, then this ring would work better. It’s such a shame that this ring didn’t work at least for me, because out of the entire collection, this is one of the pieces that I had my heart set on. There are plenty of other items from the Autumn collection that I really like, don’t get me wrong, but this one was the one that I really, really, really, wanted!

Perhaps if you wear this ring to go out on a date, where you wouldn’t necessarily be using your hands too much, maybe you’ll be able to get away with it, but at a price point of $125 I’m not sure it’s really worth it.

What do you think of my review? Do you think I’m being unfair? Have you been able to try this ring on at the store? Please share your questions, comments, or experiences with this double ring or any other double ring and let me know what you think!

I actually did try on the ring in the store. But I did it as a lark, a hoot if you will, because I was pretty sure I wouldn’t like any 2 fingered ring because of the constriction of movement. And I didn’t. But it was okay, because I didn’t expect to. I wish they would re-release it as a regular oversized ring, because I would buy it in a second. The workmanship on the leaf is indeed breathtaking. As are all the leaves this season. From the silver openwork leaf charm to the stunning Rose and Murano glass, these pieces are absolutely beautiful. I purchased the Rose O just to put the Murano glass on it. I will be returning for the Shine leaf earrings. I would have bought them the last time I was in, but they hadn’t gotten them in yet.

Looking at all the pics of new and intriguing ways to wear their jewelry these days, perhaps you could thread the ring onto your shoe laces or weave it into your hair!

Thanks for the review. I always enjoy your posts.

OMG I would buy it in a second as well! I agree with you, all of the leaf collection is just gorgeous!! And I’m not even a Shine fan but the earrings are sooooo beautiful! OH and the oak leaf silver pendant?! My store can’t keep it in stock because it’s so pretty.

Oh threading it in hair! That’s an amazing idea!! I hope someone reads your comment and does it, I bet it would look just lovely!

And thank you as always for your support and comments, it really helps to keep me going because I know at least someone is reading. XOXOXO

Welcome back! Nice to see a post from you. Thank you for this review. I now know not to even bother looking at the two finger ring. Cute idea, but, if it’s not going to be comfortable what’s the point? Still bummed out there is no promo in September. For as long as she have been collecting Pandora, there has always been a September promo. Oh well!

Thanks!! I know, I didn’t realize I was gone for so long! But never to worry, if I were to ever take a permanent break or even an extended break, I would let you all know. I don’t understand bloggers who just decide to leave and not tell anyone. The fact that they leave their loyal readers hanging is not great to me you know? I hate that feeling bc then you start to wonder if they are ok or what happened.

I know it’s a real shame about this ring! Knowing how Pandora works though, it won’t sell and they’ll end up retiring it when they only thing they need to do is re-design the finger holes and re-release it. If they got this thing to work, I would jump at the chance of buying it!

And I know what you mean! THere was always a promo in March and September for as long as I’ve been collecting Pandora and for them not to have a September promo? SOOOOOO weird!

Hi!!🤗♥️I would have to agree with you and Nichol, I would feel too constricted with this ring..nice idea, and reminds me of the 80’s…but I would have to pass..love your angel wing in the bronze! And it seems your ring allows for more mobility..great review girly!!♥️😘✨✨✨

Hi, thanks hun, appreciate your feedback. Yes it’s a real shame they didn’t quite get this one to work, I had high hopes for it! At least they are trying to think outside the box. I hope they tweak it a bit further and re-release it, the design of it is too gorgeous to just pull from circulation.

    Hi Jahndra,
Thanks for the review on the ring. It is beautiful and would be interesting if they could some how rework it. I have never tried on a double finger ring, I don’t know if I ever seen one! Pandora rings are not on my radar because I typically wear yellow gold the only silver being my charm bracelets. I was able to get a local shop in shop today to look at some Pandora that has been on my list. Crossed some things off because of size or color, they were nothing major. I did see the fall collection which looked really nice. Saw all the new (going back to the Lion King release) Disney which was my main objective. I don’t know why the black Snow White Evil Queen charm keeps catching my eye – the darn thing is freakin’ $100! Needless to say that has to wait for a really really really good sale! I was hoping the rumors were false and that there WOULD be a September buy more sale – so disappointed there was nothing. Pandora may not realize this but I can be very patient and I know I am not the only one!

Since I am not on social media but sneak peak on Instagram, I watched your story on Ninja. Oh, my heart goes out to you! We lost our dear Mr. Mittens this June and it has not been easy. What I wouldn’t give for one last cuddle, kiss, to feel his tiny paw patting me, to hear him meow, his look back to make sure we were following him and tell us what we called “his stories” he had lots of them especially at 6:00 am! He truly was an angel on this earth! So spoil your little one rotten – even more than you do now! Take pictures, videos what ever you need to do for memories. I know one day a kitty will adopt us again, but right now I just want my Mittens back.

    • Jahndra says:

OOOH well if it keep catching your eye then it’s meant to be! Sorry I’m the worst enabler LOL. I understand the gold thing. I love gold as well, but because it’s so overpriced I rather buy more items for the same price of one gold item. That’s why I’m so turned onto the outlets right now because some of the gold is so cheap, not always but sometimes you get lucky to get that one sale where you can get a gold ring for like $50!

Oh sweetie thank you so much for your kind words, you made my cry…right now she is doing really really well, she’s happy and playful, not 100% back to normal but I’ll take it! I try not to think of what it will be like when she’s gone, how hard it will be at night not to feel her laying next to me, or coming home and having her not run up to me and lick my ankles or her growling when we play tug of war…and I know the pain you’re feeling. This isn’t the first dog we’ve owned, I had two others growing up and I still tear up when I remember them, especially my German Shepard, she was the best dog. It’s a wound that never closes, it just scabs over but it’s always there. Hang in there, losing your little one back in June, that’s still so fresh, it’s not been a long time so I’m sure you’re still feeling sad, but like my husband says, they know how much we love them. All we can do is try to make them as happy as we can during the time they’re with us. Sending hugs!!

Oh, I feel you, but I am still hopeful. I also had my heart set on this ring. I’m usually a size 48 or 50 depending on the finger I wish to use the ring on (and 52 on the wider bands), and my store only had the 46 and 58 of this ring. I managed to squeeze my left hand fingers in the 46, but it was awful. They’ll let me know when there’s a size 50 in stock, and I’ll try again.

    • Jahndra says:

OH do let me know how you feel when you’re able to try it on! I hope to be able to try a larger size one day if they ever get a larger size to see if that makes a difference on the weird finger claustrophobia thing!

Great review! I love the look of the leaf ring and it’s great Pandora is on trend. I was concerned when wearing the ring you would feel constricted. After reading your review I definitely will pass on buying.

    • Jahndra says:

Yea it’s a darn shame! I mean I guess it’s tricky to try to design a double finger ring that will be comfortable, I mean even the one I had didn’t feel as comfortable as I remembered. I guess it’s just a ring to look pretty on your hand while you look pretty doing nothing LOL like a date!
