How To: Welcome The Newest Category To My Blog, How To, and How To Design a Cinderella Bracelet

Hello my darlings! I’m trying really hard to stick to more blogging rather than just cranking out videos, and I know I’m starting to fall behind again but here I am trucking on! Today’s post is an exciting one, at least for me as I’m introducing a new category to my blog, the How To! Under this category I plan on either featuring how I come up with the designs and/or themes to my bracelets and also a How To on offering recommendations for your bracelet themes. For now though I plan on focusing on all your Disney fans out there!

I myself am not a huge Disney fan, yes I loved the cartoons growing up and loved going to the parks when I was little, I even have a special place in my heart for favorite Disney movies, but other than that, I try to stay away from Disney as I just can’t afford everything I want and I have to draw the line somewhere. Even though I may not be a huge Disney fan, that doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy designing bracelets. This is the main reason why I have so many bracelets, I start thinking of how nice certain beads will look together and it’s all downhill from there! Currently I’m trying really, really hard not to start a rainbow bracelet but it’s SOOOOO hard that I may end up giving in!! But I digress, onto the main topic at hand.

Having said all of this, I wish to start “virtually” designing a Cinderella bracelet! If I had the skills to design or write a program that would be similar to Pandora’s old build your bracelet online tool I totally would! Alas I lack the tools to do so, I also can’t physically build the bracelet as I don’t have all the money in the world to buy all of the charms that I think would look lovely on the bracelet. So the next best thing is to create a gallery with the charms that I think would look perfect for any true Cinderella fan out there. BTW when I was little Aurora and Cinderella were my favorites princess, (please keep in mind I’m dating myself as I was already starting to grow up when The Little Mermaid came out and the slew of princesses that came after her!)

Here are the charms that I believe are must haves in order to create the perfect Cinderella bracelet:

Specifically this is the middle part of the bracelet, note the clips at the beginning and the end of the table above. Why the Layers of Lace clip you might ask? I don’t know, I just feel like these are the best clips for the bracelet, they somehow fit the best in my mind, you of course can choose whatever clips you like. Also with the exception of the clips, these are all certified Pandora Disney charms.

This second table is the bracelet as it gets bigger, also with charms I believe are must haves:

Here now you can see the bracelet getting bigger from the center out, below are charms I believe are great compliments to the bracelet in that they represent the smaller characters in the movie such as Gus Gus, Lucifer the cat, and the birds that helped make the dress:

The horse obviously represents how the fairy god-mother turned the mice into the horses to draw the carriage. I also included  the Snow White bird because I don’t think you have to limit yourself to labels, if you like the bird well enough I think you can put it anywhere you think you need a bird LOL. Also if you are wondering why I included the Enchanted Tea Cup, it’s because I’ve always liked the part in the movie where the step-mother is about to pour hot tea into her cup not knowing that poor Gus Gus is in there freaking out.

The following table illustrates alternative charms you can use in case you don’t like the ones I picked above, they include the now retired shears and thimble (representing how the mice and birds helped make Cinderella’s first dress), the older two tone non-Disney carriage, the fairy tale book, and other styles of shoes you can opt for instead of Disney’s choice, I also included the Cinderella’s Wish charm here because it didn’t fit in the design I created above, and the Cinderella’s tiara is also here as I never saw her wear a tiara in the movie so in my opinion it’s not necessarily needed. Thanks to commenter Dream Kinn for suggesting the key and bow charms that are also present in the movie, I had uploaded the First Dance charm then completely forgot to add it to my bracelet!!! OH well, maybe I’ll re-arrange it, I had planned on adding it to the other princess bracelets I’m working on. I also included the Our Special Day charm as the movie ends in a wedding:

Below is my finished bracelet if I were to buy all of the charms I chose:

What do you think? I like it very much, it contains most of Disney’s charms, but it also has my spin on it. I like that I added the little mice friends, the birds, Bruno, and the sewing shears along with the thimble. Speaking of the thimble, I don’t love the bright orange color, but here I’m focusing more on the substance of the bracelet vs whether it’s matchy matchy with the blues. Also I’m pretty sure this is a full bracelet, I might even have Was this post helpful at all? Was I able to add charms that you never thought of? Are there any charms you think I missed? Let me know in the comments below!

I love this idea of virtually creating a bracelet! Our Pandora promo here in Canada excluded Disney otherwise I was going to buy the Cinderella dress. I shall use this again as a reference, so thanks!

AW thanks Martha!! That’s too bad about the promo, for some reason I feel that they are doing that more and more. I heard for the 3 for 2 promo right now that Disney and SHine can’t be the free item, but that one can buy Disney and Shine and get a regular charm for free.

Very nice; I love your picks! The clips are wonderful. Star clips would be nice too to represent the magic that the fairy Godmother uses (isn’t it little star trails that come out of her wand?). I would also add the first dance charm! And maybe a bow because I always loved how the mice put a bows on the front of her pink dress (and her hair ribbon with the bow). And I’d have to put a key because of how the mice need to get it. I have two young daughters (one who adore Cinderella) so I see lots of detail in the movie!

I don’t remember if it’s little star trails from the magic wand but that is an excellent idea! Oh my, you know I added the first dance charm to the other princess bracelets I’m working on but I cant’ believe I forgot to add it here!! I may not be able to add it to the main bracelet but I can add it to the gallery, thanks for reminding me! And the bow charm and key charm are also an excellent ideas, thanks!!
