Review: Pandora Love is Forever Charm

Today’s post will be reviewing the limited edition Love is Forever charm from Pandora. I didn’t even realize there was going to be another limited edition charm but if memory serves Pandora usually has a limited edition charm for every holiday I think, I know last year there was one for Valentine’s Day and Mother’s day as well (I think?)  A kind reader pointed out to me that this charm isn’t really a limited edition charm, not sure why I thought it was, but it’s not, I think the fact that it came in a box is what made me think it was limited edition, but now I realize my mistake!

First Impression:

I wasn’t too wowed with the online image of the charm, I mean it does look very similar to the other Signature Pandora Logo jewelry so I didn’t give it a second thought, until I saw it in real life of course.

Review:

This is one sparkly charm! It’s almost like a miniature version of the Radiant Hearts only in clear and without the heart cut outs.

It offers a lot of sparkle that is for sure! I had initially wanted to wear this as a pendant, but I’m having second thoughts as it doesn’t sit like I want it to. Perhaps if I loop several Pandora bracelets together to make a necklace then this charm would look better as a pendant.

It comes in a cute little heart shaped box, I always like the boxes these limited editions charms come in, but I never know what to do with them, I always feel bad throwing them away, but then if I keep them they are kind of bulky and take up a lot of space.

Perhaps I will put this charm in a project that I am currently thinking of starting that I’m calling my random and abstract bracelet, it’s going to be a bracelet dedicated to the older abstract Pandora charms with an element of sparkle. It’s such a new project that it only exists in the virtual world for now.

One thing I have to say about this charm is although it is sparkly, to me it almost has a greyish color to it, it’s not a bright, clear stone, this may be due to the fact that the cubic zirconia is not a brilliant cut round stone but a rose cut. The rose cut is a more antique cutting style, this is why the stone has a slight duller effect, it’s not quite as fiery as a brilliant round cut would be, this could appeal to a more sophisticated Pandora collector.

In Conclusion:

I do like this charm very much but I’m finding that I don’t really have a place for it, that is why it might go on that project I was talking about earlier. This charm is sterling silver with cubic zirconia and retails for $70, it’s also a limited edition charm so once it’s gone, it’s gone.

What do you think of this charm? Do you like it? Do you plan on taking it home with you?

Love is Forever with gift box is limited edition but the charm itself is available after Feb 15. It is not a real LE charm, Pandora make charm with box as limited edition during special occasion.

    • Really? Well that’s a straight out lie then! They shouldn’t be allowed to say it’s Limited Edition or else I have to correct this post to reflect that it’s not a limited edition.

Pandora has a very small description at the bottom of the catalog say “Available with gift set only. Available for individual purchase Feb 15,2016 “. They did it to 2015 Sweetheart Fancy Pink Cz as a LE inside a gift box during Valentine Day, then you can buy it anytime without the box. They did it many time like that already. I usually ask Sales about the LE charm to make sure is real LE charm, I don’t want to rush to get it. I only buy during promotion, I am saving for 31st March to 3rd April to get the free bracelet.

I didn’t care that much for this one from the stock image, but you’re right – it’s so much prettier in person. The stone really pops. However, there were still others from Valentine’s I wanted more. The box looks cute too 🙂
