From the Box: My first Trollbeads charms.

Hello everyone, welcome to my first edition of From the Box, where I will showcase my older, not so new charms that I still hold dear to my heart. This will be my opportunity to focus on older charms so take these posts as a blast from the past!

Today I’m choosing to focus on my very first Trollbeads pieces.  Initially I only wanted maybe three charms and a bracelet and that was going to be the extent of my Trollbeads collection.  How wrong could I be?! We all know how it goes, you start with one and it just snowballs until the next thing you know you have over 30 charms in less than six months (not saying this is what happened to me *cough cough*).

So I started with the Mexico lock, my first lock, then the both retired Aztec bead and the tower bead.  I wanted a Mexico themed bracelet, and thought these would be very appropriate.

This bracelet has since evolved into a much more complete bracelet now, perhaps I will feature it at a later date.  I have found more beads that represent Mexico as well, however I am usually a purist, as in I hate to mix Pandora with Trollbeads and vice versa or any other brands for that matter, but I have made several exceptions, one is for this bracelet, another when I made my Pac Man bracelet, I can feature that at a later date as well!

I’ve also added the zucchini flower, the cactus and also some of the retired red feathers and red prisms but I won’t show those until I make another Trollbeads showcase.  I will allude to this Mexico bracelet in a future post.

Most of you are probably wondering why I chose the tower to represent Mexico.  Well the reason is because I have family that lives in northern Mexico, in a state called Coahuila, there is a city called Torreon, which derives it’s name from torre or tower in English.  That is why this charm is on my bracelet.

Also I love dichroic glass, and was very happy that the Mexico lock has the double sided glass on it.  I wish mine was more golden rather than a blue and green side but I bought it online sight unseen.  Whew if we’re talking about wishes coming true then I should go bigger and wish I had the gold Mexico lock!

Once again I’d like to thank you guys for letting me share my goodies with you.  It’s nice to be able to share my passion for jewelry with other people! What were your first Trollbeads? Share your pics with me on my Instagram account, just tag me @my.xpressions and I’ll check them out! Until next time, take care!
