Today I’m wearing one of my favorite all time X bracelets, my love and heart themed X bracelet!  This is one of my favorites because it was my first completed X and it symbolizes my husband and myself in the two hearts next to the Lover’s Bond.  It also has special meaning to me as my  husband used to travel a lot for work, and whenever he could he would bring me back a heart shaped charm, so this is my way of expressing that in this bracelet.

 

When X first came out I went nuts over the concept!! It was love at first sight, and since I didn’t live close enough to a retailer to see them in person I had to wait six months before I had time to drive down to Palo Alto to finally see the links.  I was fascinated by the mix of metals and silicone, very edgy and modern.  Plus I loved the fact that there were no sizes, it could fit anyone, all you had to do was add more links! You could do a double wrap or even triple, or turn it into a necklace!  The options were endless!

 

 

 

I went into a quaint little shop called Shady Lane in Palo Alto, not planning on buying just wanted to see the links to see if I would like them, ended up leaving with a starter bracelet:

 

Of course hubby was not surprised, just shook his head and laughed at me because he knew I wasn’t going to leave without buying at least something!  Well that got the ball rolling and within the next couple of months I started to buy more links.  It’s been about a year since X first came out and I finally finished my heart bracelet and I also finished my starter bracelet soon after, I will feature it in a later post.

 

 

I’m not one to change a bracelet much once I’ve finished it. I like to go by themes so I may replace a link or two depending on what Trollbeads will come up with next, but as of now, it’s finished!
