I decided to get on the blog real quick in order to give you all the devastating news, and that is that everything that was on the last Pandora sale will be getting retired! I went to Pandora today in order to take advantage of the last day of the after Christmas sale, and I overheard one of the managers tell a sales associate that everything that was on sale is on the discontinued list, i.e. no longer in production. This means once the store sells out of an item, that is it, it is gone, therefore retired!
I wish I had known this beforehand as I had only budgeted myself to certain items, and even so, I went over my budget by a whole lot and wasn’t able to get every little thing on my wish list. The sale is over for now, but the items will now go on Last Call trays. Last I heard the Last Call trays were 30% off, I do not know if this will be the case again, or if they will go back to being full price.
It is very unfortunate as this was a massive discontinuance wave. So many items are going! I put a couple of things on hold, (the less expensive ones LOL) and hopefully they will still be there when I can get to the store again, today I was way overspent already! I will also be updating the 2018 retirement lists to reflect everything that was on sale. It will take several days, but it will be there as a reference. Hopefully nothing will be added for 2019 yet as the year just started.

Yes me too! The thing is, before Christmas they already had a last call tray that was 30% off, so I wonder if they’ll have all of these items at 30% off as well? That will help with savings and to buy everything I still want!

I suspected as much. I bought quite a bit from my favorite store, and the rest of the items I absolutely wanted but the store didn’t have on line.
I think we will have a chance at most of it again, either in the stores at a discounted price, or the outlets, or Rue La La.
It saddens me a little, as I think the Essence line is phasing out (probably time), and they are really downsizing their 14k gold offerings.
I think we will see how much they replace with new designs with the unveiling of the Spring Collection.

No worries and I understand how you feel. I feel the exact same way about Essence. I heard rumors for the last couple of years thay they might be retiring but then kept releasing new collections in an attempt for one final push. I heard essence was much bigger in Europe than it is here so who knows how they will handle that.
I’ve seen the new valentines day stuff but I don’t recall any essence. I’m trying to get everything on my list still, I think I still have three essence beads I need!
I got my remaining Essence in one of the sales a year ago. The only ones I don’t have are the original energy bead, which was carnelian, the spacers (why Spacers?) and the most recent Rose ones that I can take or leave. So I’m good there. I think they will make their way to Rue La La eventually.
True! And I get the spacers comment, like why? But I do like them, they are shiny LOL. I kind of wish I could’ve gotten the gold spacer, I could’ve made it a center piece because I’m off by one gold bead on my essence bracelet. It’s between that spacer or the white crystal hope bead i think it was called. I think I’ve almost gotten all of the ones I wanted too. still missing like three or four i think.

I had a feeling. I was able to grab many items, I collect Disney with some Xmas charms so I did pretty well. Oh, I was able to grab my horoscope charm. Then I added up everything I spent and almost had a heart attack! I have one more now retired charm I will order at full price today from one of the authorized online dealers – I had it in my cart during the sale and then had second thoughts. I often do that and regret it – like now! A few of the authorized online dealers have some old stock – granted at full price or higher but if you really want something!
May I just add my 2 cents. I checked the US Pandora site and Jared daily sometimes more than once because they kept adding items or quantity. I wished they would have just had everything ready to go on day one. I now have 5 more boxes I am waiting for – granted all free shipping but still seems a waste of cardboard, resources, etc.

LOL you my dear are like me….think about it, then regret it when it’s too late! Like yesterday, the Russian fish is getting retired, I kind of wanted it, was thinking about it, then as I was browsing I saw one customer snag one, and there was one left, so I bought it because it was the last one! SMH I’m telling you I have a problem!

Perfect example (pertaining to my above post) it is 5:45 pm on the east coast and I just checked my favorite authorized online dealers and wouldn’t ya know it Ruelala just loaded more items! I decided to wait and see if the Jasmine murano – that is the one I missed – shows up on one of these sites (they usually offer free shipping). I will give it until March 1st, that is when my patience will run out 🙂 But, I may just call my local shop in shops and stores tomorrow……
LOL you know I noticed that Rue la la is selling things that are still technically current in the pandora stores, I just can’t remember at the moment which deal is better! I think during the sale Pandora was better but during non sales Rue is better!

oh my i need to check this site out!!! Maurice Badler you said? I’ve never heard of that website. I don’t think Tigger or piglet are getting retired yet, because I don’t recall them being on the last sale, but I would suggest if you’ve had your eye on them for awhile, just to get them just in case!
As for rue la la I already set my calendar alert, all you have to do is download the app on your phone, login, and then under coming soon there will be an add to calendar option, it does it automatically! I don’t want to say what time because I forget what time zone they use. I’ve seen them say 8am, and by 10 or 11 am my time the alert will pop up.

“buying back” or whatever the financial term is, their franchises.
Basically Pandora wants control over stores and online.
I can’t blame them, I feel like it is willy nilly when it comes to
stores and obviously authorized online dealers. Some of the online
stores did not participate in the last sale. I know I looked at all of them! 🙂

I received my Maurice Badler order today. It took about a week from placing my order til I received it.
The charms came in a bubble lined shipping envelope, much like my Rue orders. Each charm was wrapped
in tissue and put between two cardboard Pandora boxes. Everything was just fine.
I placed another ordered last night. One of the items I chose sold out so I received an
email before they shipped the other items to see if I wanted anything in its place.
I would order from them again if they continue to sell Pandora. I guess the true test of any company
is if there is a problem and since I had none I cannot speak to that.

I did, I found a few LOL, plan on filming that haul soon, but I’ve had a full plate lately with life which is why I haven’t posted too much on my blog lately, will hopefully try to get back on that soon!

I’ve never posted before, just a long time lurker. I noticed that another authorized retailer listed on the Pandora.net website is selling all their Pandora stock for 40% off. Not as good as Rue la la or Badler, but still. It’s Bellacosajewelers.com. I just purchased from them last night so I can’t tell you about the shipping/packaging quality. I checked their website today and there were a few new things added. Just thought I’d pass that tidbit along. More temptation-lol.

I think we will see more of this type of sale as Pandora seems to be discontinuing contracts with the independent retailers.

THank you so much Murphy lol, I have been noticing the same thing you just mentioned, a lot of retailers seem to be dropping Pandora or are being forced to somehow. The same thing happend with Trollbeads, and it’s sad because it means less and less retailers were carrying trollbeads, but it also meant great sales because they were liquidating.
