Today X Jewellery debuts it’s Autumn 2016 collection and by now all of you have seen the previews, here now are my thoughts on the collection.
It seems what once was supposed to be a limited edition version of the colored rubber links, is now a permanent fixture and I’m loving that. I actually tend to never wear my colored links but I have a need to collect all of the ones I like. So far I only have the pink, red, black of course, and slate blue and I’m dying for the teal, the bordeaux and the brown, maybe the graphite and maybe the steel blue. I’m not in love with the mellow yellow, it is a nice shade of saffron, but it’s just not me. I know that it’s on trend as one of this fall season’s “it” color, but I don’t think it suits my skin tone.
I remember when X first came out, the collections were a little larger than just four links (not including a colored rubber link) so I wish they would release more, but I’m happy at least they are still coming up with new designs. I’m sure it’s not easy to always come up with fresh ideas. Perhaps they could so something like the Trollbeads People’s bead, but I know they are trying to pull away from Trollbeads and have their own identity. And speaking of fresh new ideas, what are we thinking of the new feather links?
I LOVE FEATHERS! I really do LOL, so I of course plan on purchasing these, although I’m not sure which ones yet, I initially only wanted to but the double Freed Feather, however now I’m thinking of maybe buying two Light Feathers and one Freed Feather, who knows, as I start playing with them I’ll figure it out, but these are a total win in my book! X Jewellery has an all Freed Feather bracelet on their webpage and I have to say it looks pretty nice. I hope they release this link in sterling silver one day as well.
Now we come to the final two links of this collection and that is the heavily oxidized Dark Night and Bright Star:
I’m not sure what to think of these links, I think the heavy oxidation is amazing, however knowing how oxidation works we all know it won’t last. I assume that because they are heavily textured, it will help to keep the oxidation on longer. It will be very interesting to find out how these two links will wear over time.
As you might know by now, I’m also a lover of stars, however I’m not sure if the Bright Star link is for me. I will need to see it in real life then make a decision.
What do you think of this collection? Do you love it or hate it? Do you plan on buying any pieces? It feels like forever since X has had any sales or promotions, I’m surprised they haven’t announced any. Here’s hoping they will have one soon!

I love this whole release, I must say! The feather links are gorgeous and I like the oxidized look, too. Hope we start to see some people’s pics on IG soon.
Me too! I really can’t wait to see the dark links in person, I should hopefully be able to soon!
