I feel like I haven’t done an X Jewellery review in awhile so today I will be reviewing the Star and Heart double link. I can’t even remember where or when I picked this link up, I’m sure if I review my past videos it will pop up somewhere ;).
First Impression:
If you’ve been here long enough, you’ll know by now that I LOVE anything with hearts or stars on them, making this link a perfect fit for me. Or at least that is what I thought, I do like the link a lot but I wish the heart was a little bigger. Here you can see that the star is much larger than the heart.
Review:
This double link measures one inch or about 25 mm with a full twist. I needed to take several shots of this link as the heart part of this link isn’t as big as it’s star counterpart which is strange.
Here is what I mean, I placed the link vertically so you can see the dimensions of the heart compared to the dimension of the star.
The star portion of the link measures approximately 5/8 of an inch or 17 mm while the heart measures 7/16 of an inch or 11 mm, (let me tell you the metric system really comes in handy when measuring these!) For me it’s not a huge deal that there is a difference in sizes and I don’t dislike it because the difference is very minute. What I don’t love is that because the link has a full twist, the bracelet has to be in a completely different angle for one to see either the heart or the star, but again it’s not a big deal.
Here is the link compared to the bronze Lovers Bond:
As always I like to use the Lover’s Bond as a standard to all other links since I like the size of it and I use it to compare it to other double links in size. This way if you have the Lover’s Bond and like it as much as I do, it’s easier for you to compare sizes before you buy.
This link is in my two tone all metal bracelet:
Here you can see the star more:
Here you can see the heart:
In Conclusion:
Although this link contains two of my favorite elements, it’s not my absolute favorite, but I still like it A LOT! This link is sterling silver of course and retails for $46 which is great but it used to cost a whopping $72! That’s a huge price gap! I’m thankful I received most of these as gifts or I bought them on sale! The price reduction has been in effect for a couple of months now and I have yet to take advantage of that, perhaps in the near future? There are a couple of other items on my wish list!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this review and found it informative, until next time Happy Hunting!
