Finally getting back to doing a review! Today I will be reviewing the single link from X Jewellery called Inseparable.
First Impression:
My first impression of this link was iffy, I liked it well enough but thought it too “tall” for a link and what I mean by that is that I thought it would sit too high on my wrist and it would catch on clothing. I did like the sentiment behind it as well, two love birds or turtle doves perched on top of a branch just nuzzling each other!
Review:
This link is a little tricky to measure as I’m not sure if I should include the added height of the outline of the birds or if I should just measure the link part. This link measures 5/8 of an inch wide and almost 11/16 of an inch tall (counting the birds, if not it’s 3/8 of an inch), or 14mm wide and 16mm tall.
Here is the link next to a plain single bronze link and a rubber link for size so one can gauge the sizes:
And just for fun I took a few snapshots of the bronze link on top of the Inseparable link and the bronze link on top of the rubber link just so we can see the difference in size, there is no difference between the bronze link and the silver one, but we can see a very slight difference between the bronze and the rubber link:
There’s not much more that I can say about this link, I do like the added height and I haven’t had any issues with it catching or anything. I also think it’s interesting how this link has a flat edge versus the more traditional rounded edges that X is well known for. This link is not unique in that, X also made the Love Bubble and the Skyline links in similar fashion.
For now I have this link on my random bracelet, this is where my other random links live, the ones that I like but have not a specific theme or place for. Eventually I would like to replace the rubber links for all silver ones with maybe one or two rubber links in the mix.
In Conclusion:
I like this link a lot, have not any issues with it catching or scratching me at all. It is of course sterling silver and retails for $46. This link to me represents why I like X Jewellery so much, because the designers think outside of the box, they don’t limit themselves to the shape of the link, they work around the link to come up with real fun and whimsical designs. I hope this review has helped a bit in case someone was wondering if they should take the plunge and purchase this link. Do you happen to own this link? If you do, have you had an issues with it catching?
