Today on From the Box I will be pulling out my all time favorite Trollbeads lock, and that is the Big Flower lock. I do like this lock a lot since I like nature based themes, and it’s just a good solid piece of silver.

I don’t know when this lock came out since I haven’t been collecting Trollbeads for that long, but I know when I first saw it that I had to have it. Currently this lock is on this bracelet:

I wonder why Trollbeads hasn’t come up with more designs like the Big Flower lock or like the Big Fish lock for that matter. I love their other locks, don’t get me wrong, but I wonder why only two locks in this more detached or flexible style versus their more classic one piece locks.

Originally this lock was supposed to go on my flower birth month bracelet that I talked about in this post, but since I had to abandon that project, I feel now that it’s a bit homeless. At least with that other green bracelet, this lock would’ve made more sense because of the flowers but I’ve changed that project onto a bangle so for now I’m using it on a smaller sized bracelet since this lock is a bit longer and it’s pretty much the same length as all my other bracelets.

I accidentally bought a bracelet one size too small again and I am unable to return it as it was part of a purchase made from my LS and they are discontinuing Trollbeads so I can’t return it and they don’t have any more sizes for me to exchange to the correct size. I might buy another Big Flower lock in order to compensate for the length like the aforementioned bracelet I already own, or maybe I’ll sell it and use that money to buy myself the correct sized bracelet.

Many of you might not remember but this bracelet initially  had a focal point of the Rose of June paired with the Mother’s Roses beads on each side of the Rose of June, if you look through my Instagram account you might see it. I decided to take them off as I wasn’t wholly convinced on how it looked. I decided to start an all pink bracelet in order to accommodate the Mother’s Roses beads. I usually DO NOT do pink, but I really do love how the beads look, the fact that they look like fresh cut roses encased in glass is absolutely amazing. So for now they are now orphaned until I can start another bracelet and add more pinks to it.

In any case I reiterate again how I wish Trollbeads would make more of this style of locks, it would be nice to have more options than just the two they offer now.

Which is your favorite lock? I have more than one of course, and it doesn’t help that Trollbeads keeps churning out new designs!!
