Welcome to my very first post for 2016! I’m excited to start the year off with an X Jewellery haul and as I’ve mentioned before, this will most likely go well into this month and maybe next month so I apologize if I keep talking about what I got for Christmas, Santa was very generous!

So it’s been quite a few spendy months what with all the great deals that were offered and who hasn’t taken advantage of those sales?! I know I’m not the only one who instead of shopping for loved ones, ended up shopping for ourselves right? Well that’s exactly what I did when it came to the X Jewellery Black Friday sale. It’s been so busy lately that I’m just now getting to showcase it.

Now there was some confusion on this sale. Information was wrong and there was a couple of misunderstandings. Sources said specific retailers were offering the links at 40% but when I emailed several online retailers most didn’t know about the sale and were scrambling to find out more. Someone on social media asked a representative from X Jewellery  about the sale and the rep said it was only a rumor. This is straight from the horse’s mouth so I assumed it was true and didn’t think much of it, the fact that none of the online retailers I checked out had the sale or even knew about it confirmed that there was indeed no sale.  Shortly after that Trollbeads Gallery announced that they were liquidating their X stock because they couldn’t focus on both Trollbeads and X. So without doing further research I just took the plunge and bought myself a little something, at that point I didn’t even bother to check other retailers for the sale since Trollbeads Gallery was offering one.

I believe other online retailers did the sale after all but I’m not sure which ones since I was so focused on getting what I wanted LOL. Now I knew that my husband would be getting me some links from X for Christmas as I alerted him to the sale, so I was slightly concerned that I might get repeats so I forced myself to only getting a set that I never thought I would get but I only got because they were on sale.

I also debated whether I should do a video about this small haul and decided against it since I have several other videos lined up already, here now is what I got:

So I kind of always wanted the You and Me links but figured they were a little pricey. There’s nothing like a great sale to make one take the plunge though! I have to say I do like the links a lot, although I found it extremely hard to link up the You and Ampersand links together because they kind of lined up weird, I tried to take closer pics of them to illustrate my point:

It’s a little hard to see but it seems that the You and Ampersand kind of get in the way of each other and prevents a smooth join between the links, in other words, they hit each other when I try to link them up so it was a bit hard. I also noticed small uneven-ness on the u from the You link, not sure if I caused that damage or if it came like that. In any case, it’s not easy to join the You and Ampersand together so in the future I will most likely never detach these from each other since it took me a good 10 minutes at least to join them. I’m still not sure if I will feature these in a review yet, most likely I will but not for awhile, and I will go more in depth on these links if and when I do.

At this point I already have three completed X bracelets, this will be the start of my fourth, I have no idea what I’m going to do with it yet, I might just make these links my focal point and leave the rest plain as in just using plain black links. I also thought I wanted to join them all together but upon seeing some examples online (for example the picture I used as my featured image) I’m thinking of maybe putting some single links in between them so one could read the words You & Me, not sure yet.

I also wanted to mention something very quickly, I am coming up on the first anniversary of starting this blog! I thought in order to commemorate it that I would hold a contest and anyone who participates will be entered in a raffle drawing and win a prize, the winner will then be announced on YouTube! Some rules will apply and the grand prize will be a Pandora charm! I don’t have the details yet, and I don’t know which charm will be the prize yet as I’m still sorting it all out, but once I figure it out I will announce the contest both here and on Instagram.
