Hello and welcome, today I will be showcasing my latest haul, I guess you could consider it a mini haul as I didn’t get a whole lot of stuff, but I feel like it’s been forever since I showcased any Lenny and Eva, and I had been itching to acquire a couple more pieces, especially now since they’ve released some new bracelet wraps and sentiments.
Anyway, here are the pieces I acquired:
I got the Large Bird Pendant in the brass finish, a second silver charm bracelet, the black studded leather wrap, and the large sentiment He Loves Me.
First Impression:
I want to first talk about the bird pendant, it’s not as large as I thought, again, the online images are deceiving and I expected this to be a bit bigger or at least heavier. Perhaps the rings at each end of the pendant are misleading as they make the pendant appear bigger or longer than it really is. I have no complaints about the bracelet as this is my second one and I like the feel of it, overall a comfortable bracelet to wear. The studded leather wrap is soft and the small studs on the wrap give it enough edge to appeal to other tastes versus only the bohemian esthetic, and the large sentiment is like others I have featured in the past, nothing really different about it.
Review:
I was surprised to see that the bird pendant did not have a curve to it at all. Compared to the large Feather or the Take Flight Wings, this pendant is completely flat, the other aforementioned pendants are slightly curved to accommodate someone wearing it on their wrist instead of on a necklace.
At least to me, it’s pretty flat, what do you think? Although it’s relatively flat, this does not deter one from wearing it as a bracelet, because of the large bails on each end, this gives the pendant flexibility, so it does not need to be curved in order to be worn on the wrist. I actually like it on the wrist a lot. The Large Bird Pendant retails for $12.50 and is made out of recycled materials and plated in brass.

Now I thought I would fall in love with the leather wrap, but it turns out, it’s a little big for me, and because I know leather will stretch a little over time, it will get much bigger. As I was wearing the wrap in between shots, it became evident that the bird pendant would not be staying put. Perhaps if I layered it with other bracelets so the wrap would sit lower on my arm? I even tried the wrap with the Take Flight pendant and a small sentiment, but it was still a bit large for me, so unfortunately I will have to return or exchange for something else. The Studded Leather Wrap retails for $25.00 and is made out of genuine leather.
Too bad too, it was a really nice piece. And now I come to the large sentiment He Loves Me, I returned all the leather cuffs that I showcased in my last Lenny and Eva post, because I only purchased them in order to show how the pieces worked together, so I have yet to buy a leather cuff that I will keep for myself. I say this because I wore the large sentiment with my charm bracelets and it doesn’t look bad, but I don’t think I love the look. I think I would prefer the leather cuff look, or maybe I’m just not used to it? What do you guys think?
I bought this particular sentiment for various reasons, obviously because I like to remind myself that I am loved, by my family, my husband, and it’s also a nice reminder of my faith. But seriously you guys, how does it look with the charm bracelets? I plan to buy a couple of beaded links as well to change it up a little, and eventually also a leather cuff. I took a pic of another large sentiment that I got on my Instagram account, go check it out and let me know what you think, I’m also wearing it with the charm bracelets. This being a large sentiment, it retails $22.50 as their other sentiments.
In Conclusion:
It’s really a shame that I don’t plan on keeping the leather wrap, I do like it a lot, it’s nice and soft and comfortable, but my previous experience with leather tells me it’s just going to stretch a bit more, so I may as well exchange it for something else. I also really like the bird pendant, I plan to layer it with the feather. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, until later Happy Hunting!
