Today I will be reviewing Flow by X Jewellery. I’ve been meaning to review this link for awhile now, but other things kept coming up, I get distracted easily with sales so then I end up reviewing or posting about that instead!
First Impression:
I’ve always liked nature based themes, since I was a child I always liked looking at my grandmother’s plants and used to play with the ones that had curling tendrils, this link of course reminds me of such plants. I think unconsciously this is the reason why I asked for it, it was one of my Christmas gifts from last year, (talk about waiting so long to review an item LOL). I know the link is called Flow, and it lives up to the name, but to me it looks more like a plant tendril, what do you guys think?
Here are the dimensions:
Review:
This link measures 1 inch (or 25 mm) and is of course a double link with a full twist, it’s made both in sterling silver and bronze which is the one I have. Can I just say thank you to X for making some links in bronze? They are a little more affordable this way! Anyway, unlike most other links, Flow looks different from the back than from the front:
Either side is pleasing I think, although I do prefer the front side of it. This link also has a more rounded shape, and what I mean by that is that it’s a bit more cylindrical or barrel shaped due to one of the “tendrils” looping from one link onto the other. I hope I took good enough pictures so you can all see what I’m talking about. I still think a more fitting name for the link would be tendril but Flow works as well as the bronze is worked in such a way that you can trace the lines as they “flow” from one end to another. Of all the links I own, this one is the most oddly shaped I have to say.
I asked for the bronze version instead of the silver because it’s one of the few bronze links that X has available. X has slowly but surely added more bronze to their collection and when the bronzes came out last year I wanted to pick them up to create an all bronze and silver bracelet eventually. So far I have two completed bracelets, and I’m working on a third that so far has no theme, it’s just a mish mash of all the links that I happen to like. We’ll see how this bracelet turns out.
Here now are some images of the sides of the link:
And here it is compared to the Lover’s Bond:
As always I like to use the Lover’s Bond as a standard to all other links since I like the size of it and I use it to compare it to other double links.
Here it is incorporated into a bracelet:
I noticed that while I was taking these last photographs of the bracelet, that the Flow link kind of blends in. It’s a more subtle link, not very ostentatious but I think that is what I like so much about. It is a simple elegance.
In Conclusion:
This link retails for $46 compared to it’s silver counterpart which costs $63. I like this link in bronze as the warm color reminds me of a golden sunlit afternoon full of plants and vegetation with winding tendrils grasping for stalks in order to support the growing plant. I hope X Jewellery keeps adding bronze to the collection as it’s a more affordable way to add two tone to any bracelet versus buying the ridiculously overpriced gold links. And speaking of gold, X Jewellery very quietly retired all of the golden links. If you are still interested in buying gold I would suggest other retailers such as Trollbeadsgallery.com or Trollbeadsakron.com because X Jewellery’s main website no longer carries them.
I hope you have found this review helpful and it gives you further insight on this link. I hope it helps in your decision in buying it, until next time Happy Hunting!

I love this link and have it in silver as I was able to get it at a closing out sale. I never get tired of looking at it!
Me too! I like this link so much I’m thinking of getting it in silver as well, I have no will power!
