My Thoughts On: A Different Kind of Post #1

Hello! Today’s post is not going to be about jewelry or anything like that, it’s going to be a little closer to true to life blogging. I feel since I have a blog I can afford to go off on a tangent from time to time, and would just like to share a little about what’s going on in my life with you all.

First of all I would like to preface this by stating that if you are young and healthy, please take care of yourself. Don’t take your health for granted, it is one of the most precious things you can have. Once you get into your 30’s sometimes life throws you for a loop and it’s much harder to get back to your normal self. For some reason 2017 has not been very kind to me, and it’s been one thing after another, after another. I had to deal with a health issue all through the month of January, then I had a brief respite in February, before getting a very bad case of bronchitis that left me bedridden for about two and a half weeks. I’ve never had anything less than the flu do that to me. During this time my little dog underwent lateral knee surgery so that left her in pretty bad shape and it also left my poor husband to take care of her and me since I was pretty useless to him during that time. Did I also mention that you can get pink eye if you get a bad enough cold or bronchitis like in my case? SMH.

Then if that wasn’t enough as I was finally getting better from the bronchitis, my body decided to break out in hives due to something I ate. It was obviously an allergic reaction, to what? Who knows! So as you can see, it’s been pretty rough LOL.

Now that I’m finally feeling better (even though I still have a residual cough), I just want to say, please take care of yourselves. Eat better and exercise, I have finally come to the realization that as I’m getting older, I need to start working on maintaining my body, it will not happen naturally like it used to when I was younger. It’s a little sad and depressing but it’s the way life is, we all get older eventually and we need to start addressing these things.

I’m sorry if I’m coming off as preachy, I don’t mean to. I just want to remind you all (and myself) that life is short and as such we should enjoy it to the fullest, but at the same time we should take care of ourselves so that we are here for as long as possible! I hope that from here I can get back to proper jewelry blogging and back to enjoying life!
