Review: Pandora Vintage Night Sky Charms

For today’s post I will finally be doing a review, yay for a review! I think reviewing charms was pretty much the foundation of this blog and I apologize if it’s been awhile. Although moving into our new home is going to be a very long process I will do my best to stay on top of posting.

First Impression:

Well we all know by now that I’m extremely biased when it comes to anything star themed, so of course I loved these! I wish though that they had made them two tone so that they would go better with the Night Sky open work charm with the same shade of blue enamel, AND I could do without the moon (although I like the moon, I just personally prefer stars, I’m a purist that way LOL).

Review:

It seems that Pandora’s latest trend is all about the button charms (and pavΓ© but we won’t get into that right now) and this one isn’t the exception. I don’t mind the button charms, I actually welcome them as it’s nice to see a shape other than a sphere when it comes to charms. This is one of the reasons I also loved the Wishing Star so much, because it wasn’t round, too bad it’s getting retired.

The enamel is very similar if not identical to the Night Sky charm, and the sides have tiny little star cutouts which I adore! However with the dangle charm you can really see how sparkly the enamel is.

On the back of the dangle charm is the adage “I Love You to the Moon and Back,” which is an extra nice detail for this charm and adds to the celestial theme.

Also to note, the moon is almost identical (the dangle has a different pavΓ© pattern, larger stones vs the button charm) the stars are differently arranged on the dangle than the regular button charm. The button charm has a total of three stars with enamel, and the dangle has five stars, one larger one in cubic zirconia, and the rest in silver with different detailing.

Here is how I put the charms to use:

I loved how I put this design together so much, that now I put the last Wishing Star on hold, I have no shame.

In Conclusion:

I think it’s great that Pandora added a bit more charms to their celestial theme, however it’s a shame that they are discontinuing so many of their existing celestial charms, it would be nice to have a whole array of moon and star themed charms, and they have so many hearts already! Both these charms are of course sterling silver with cubic zirconia and sparkly blue enamel, and retail for $60 each, which is a little pricey, but I have to say Pandora enamel takes quite a beating without showing signs of wear or tear. I have of course already added these to my wish list. What about you? Will these charms make their way home with you?

I am so in love with the Vintage Night Sky dangle – the little quote in it is very cute! The only thing I don’t like is the thinness of the bail. :/ The little design you put together is adorable!
