Today’s post is more of a pseudo Sneak Peek and will not contain many images unfortunately because I was unable to secure photographs, but I was literally bursting at the seams trying to contain my excitement when I found out what direction Pandora will be taking their charm jewelry line this Autumn.
The world famous JCK (Jewelers Circular Keystone) is not only a very important trade magazine in the jewelry industry but it’s also one of the biggest (if not the biggest!) collection of trade shows that helps showcase jewelry vendors. It’s the who’s who of jewelry shows. It’s held annually in Las Vegas, (there’s one in Tucson as well) and Pandora is one of many other vendors like Swarovski, and Le Vian who attend.
I came across a Pandora Autumn/Winter 2016 Sales Planner (Thanks Natalie!) which contained at least 35 new items, one of them being a pendant that looks suspiciously like an Origami Owl pendant. If you are not familiar with Origami Owl, they offer a type of glass locket pendant, the wearer can insert teeny little charms inside of it, see the below picture a a reference:
As I discussed this with some friends, so far the reaction is positive. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet, I feel like Pandora is starting to lose their identity a bit.
There will also be a new owl charm, two other new charms featuring a little boy and a little girl wearing crowns, three more heart shaped charms, two new Radiant Heart charms in two new colors, at least five more dangles, one murano, AND an open style bangle similar to David Yurman styles such as this:
Picture the Pandora bangle much slimmer than this and without the braiding, smooth, with the same opening as the above bracelet and two sliver spheres on each side. This one intrigues me a lot and I can’t wait to see what it will look like in real life.
I apologize for the lack of pictures, like I said I was not able to secure the photographs I came across but I felt like I had to share with you!
What do you think of all this? Does this make you more excited to see the new line, or do you feel a bit disappointed like me?
Images belong to Origami Owl, Ali Express, and David Yurman.
