From The Box: Pandora Royal Blue LE Leather Bracelets

Now that the weather is starting to get warmer and people start doing more outdoor stuff like barbecue’s and picnics along with going swimming and starting to plan out their summer vacations, I decided to write about my Pandora Limited Edition Royal Blue leather bracelets that debuted Summer of 2015.

I almost never wear these because like my first black leathers, I don’t want them to stretch! When I first wrote about my black leathers I talked about how I was given the wrong sizes because I had shopped at other retailers that were not Pandora concept stores and therefore the staff is not as knowledgeable as if I had gone to a concept store. WELL I need to recant that as I finally measured my black leathers only to find out that they were indeed mediums and they stretched out about an inch, which if you know can make a huge difference when wearing a bracelet. They stretched A LOT and this is while following the Pandora recommendations of only wearing five to seven charms per bracelet. Ever since then I wear my black leathers with clips attached to them so now they are balanced and shouldn’t stretch any more than they are already stretched.

Now as I have these blues just rolling around in my jewelry box, I don’t know what to do with them. I love the color, they remind me of blue ocean waters, I love vacationing on the beach! However I am scared to wear them as I don’t want them to stretch. I think when I do wear them it’s by themselves, and only used to layer with other bracelets. I love wearing the leather bracelets with clips but I really hesitate to do that with these, what do you guys think? Do you think wearing them with clips will stretch them out? I figure because the clips are spaced out that it should prevent the leathers from stretching. Any input on this?

I really wish these had become a staple for Pandora, I really do love the color! However I always criticize Pandora for not making a true Limited Edition piece anymore so I guess I shouldn’t complain when they finally retired these LOL.

Here is how I usually wear these:

I think I like wearing this stack more with the champagne colored leathers but I only had one and I sold it on Ebay because that one was a size large for sure. The two bluesΒ  may not match too much, but it’s ok, I like wearing all shade of blue together. I have to admit I wasn’t too keen on the leather bracelets, it was my husband that got me hooked on them. It’s also embarrassing for me to say that I have the purple, pink, champagne, and midnight blue leather bracelets on my wish list. I also plan to one day replace my existing black leathers for new ones as I really don’t like them stretched, oh how lovely would it be to have all the money in the world and fulfill my every fancy LOL!

Do any of you like the Pandora leather bracelets? I know some people love them or hate them, what camp are you in? Do you own a leather, and if you do what color?

I tend to wear my Pandora leathers without beads as even with clips the beads annoy me as they are heavy enough to make the strand with the beads on tight on my wrist and the other strands flap about! I have never got the hang of wearing them with beads and have now given up. I haven’t noticed much stretch in mine, even with occasional bead wearing.

I have always seen the leathers as something that will wear out with use which is probably why I don’t buy the limited edition ones! I don’t have two many – black and grey in 3 wrap, and champagne and purple in 2 wrap.

Your blues are beautiful, enjoy them and I think they are pretty enough to wear as they are. Your pics with the blue glass and wearing them with bangles look great.

    • I completely agree with you, leather is an organic material and even with a lot of caution, they may not be intended for a lifetime of use. I guess that is why I don’t wear them as often as I used to, I want to keep them nice looking for as long as I can. Thanks so much for the comment and input! THis is why I enjoy blogging, to get to know other bloggers and bead talk!

That royal blue is quite fabulous! I don’t wear my Pandora leathers too often, but I really like them. My favourite is the green one from last year and I like it with maybe 3 beads on it. As Debbie says, though, they are pretty enough to wear as they are, as I also think the two-tone Trollbeads leathers are.

    • I only have one black Trollbeads leather and I like it very much, I have many more beads on that on, however I ordered it online way too small so even if it stretches it will still fit! I like that the Trollbeads leather bracelets are two toned. I agree, the royal blue is fabulous, probably one of the best color Pandora has come out with! I adore jewel tones!

This one is so pretty! It looks so nice against your silver bangles. I got the green leather instead of this one last year, which is also gorgeous.

I have never had a problem with my leathers stretching, I’m not sure why. My oldest leather is four years old and it still looks pristine; I wear maybe five charms maximum on them. If I were you, I’d just wear and enjoy – that’s what they’re there for! πŸ™‚ I can’t imagine a couple of clips, nicely spaced out, are going to make a lot of difference to the amount of stretching. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks! They colors are gorgeous aren’t they! I think you are right, perhaps a couple of clips spaced out won’t make a huge difference, maybe once in awhile I’ll wear them with clips!

Hi! That royal blue leather looks amazing. That’s my favorite color πŸ™‚ I have no leather bracelets yet, I’m a bit scared that they’ll look scratched up/worn out/stretched over time. That’s what’s holding me back. But I think it looks really nice stacked with the silver bracelets! I’m thinking if I would ever get one, I won’t put any charms on it and just stack it with my silver bracelet. When you wear them stacked, do the (dangling) charms scratch or rub up against the leather? Does the color come off or transfer to other materials? πŸ™‚

    • Hi! thanks for commenting and for your questions. I can understand your concern, I have them too when it comes to stretching or wearing them out! I can tell you I don’t wear them enough to see if a dangling charm would scratch them, but what I can tell you is the color does not come off or transfer at all. You know Pandora is having a leather bracelet promo coming up real soon, I just found out my store will start the promotion June 2, so you could probably take advantage of it and get a free leather bracelet and try it out. What do you think?

Unfortunately it was a limited edition color, so once the stores sold out, that was it, it was no longer available. I think you could try to find it on ebay (but be careful of fakes) or Facebook selling groups. That is where I found one of mine.
