Today I will be reviewing Waxing Poetic’s Ever Tied Heart. I have to say this charm has quickly grown into one of my favorites from Waxing Poetic, it went from a charm to pendant as I like it too much to wear on my wrist for fear of it getting scuffed and dinged.
First Impression:
Even with dimensions listed on their website, I was surprised at how much smaller this charm is in real life. I guess I imagined it would be slightly bigger. Also I was hesitant to buy this charm since it’s catered more towards the love between a mother and child, but as before with Pandora’s Full of Heart gift set which was also a Mother’s Day exclusive, I didn’t let that deter me from getting this charm as the meaning can also describe the love between spouses. Also my hubby got it for me, so it’s twice as special.
Review:
Like most of Waxing Poetic’s charms, it is two toned with brass accents. It is heart shaped with a design of two hearts joined in a circle and a long rope holding the circle. It’s quite lovely detailing which I think is one of the reason why I like this charm so much.
The added perk is the message written on the back of the charm, “Mine is ever tied to yours.” It’s a very sweet message that I think any woman would love to hear. Perhaps this is another reason why I like to wear it around my neck and close to my heart.
I do have to say that upon closer inspection and comparing my charm to that of the website’s, that the oxidation on mine looks uneven. On the website it looks even and one color, one mine you can see the oxidation is heavier in spots where the brass is very close to the silver edge. I guess their charms are hand finished like most other brands, however I couldn’t find this info on their website that said for sure these charms are hand finished. Waxing Poetic does say it employed handicraft workers (?) but I don’t know if that is the same thing. Here is an enlarged view so you can see what I’m talking about:
In Conclusion:
I love this charm! I guess maybe I should be more discriminating, I love all jewelry LOL. No but seriously, this is a very nice charm to own, like I said the message on it alone is reason enough to get this charm. Also just as an FYI, the chain pictured with the pendant is not Waxing Poetic, it is a white gold bar and ball chain that I got years ago. This charm is sterling silver, with oxidation and brass detailing, retails for $56 and currently available.
This is the pic I posted on Instagram on how I like wearing it:
Sorry for the watermarks, I’m still trying to figure out where to put them so they are not distracting yet not easy to crop or photoshop out. I hope you’ve enjoyed this review!
