Today I’m showcasing my first completed Trollbeads bracelet, I like to call it my dichroic glass bracelet, mostly because I have four dichroic ice beads on it and it has other charms that contain dichroic glass. I’ve mentioned before that I like to make theme bracelets, however I’ve found that with Troll it’s a little harder to make a whole bracelet with one theme, so I just kind of put whatever I felt like putting on it, always keeping it as symmetrical as possible ;).
Also I noticed that I have a lot more silvers than glass, as I realized it’s best to pick out the glass by hand (note my previous post on picking out Pandora Essence natural gemstone beads applies to glass beads as well). Trollbeads glass charms are amazing, but because they are hand finished, they are not as consistent as I’d like, especially if I’m trying to match new glass muranos with my existing collection. I feel more confident buying silvers online as those are going to be more consistent than the glass beads and because I have the same problem with buying Trollbeads as I do with X, my nearest Trollbeads retailer is about forty-five minutes away. That’s not as bad as two and a half hours away like my nearest X retailer, but still out of the way enough where it is not very convenient for me to drive there as often as I’d like.
This is also my first Trollbeads post, seems that I’m not focusing as much on Troll as I’d like, but it’s because I’ve only been collecting Trollbeads for about a year now. Compared with my collecting Pandora since 2009, my Trollbeads collection is still in its infancy. I’ve also noticed that my collection is growing more slowly because my nearest store is 45 minutes away, compared to a quick 15 minute drive to my nearest Pandora store located at the mall. I really wish Trollbeads would open a concept store in Northern California, I think I would go nuts!
I think once I expand my collection and buy more glass beads I may space out the silvers and add more glass, or who knows, maybe I’ll just leave this be and start other bracelets with more glass on them. Here is the full bracelet:
Bead order from left to right: the trinity, three siblings, diamond in the rough, dichroic ice, falling leaves, endless, letter R, dichroic ice, limited edition heart, King and Queen, three in one, dichroic ice, letter D, frames, letter A, dichroic ice, double heart, Hallelujah, three flowers, and flower dichroic lock.
Thanks for letting me share my beads with you. I think this will be one of my all time favorite bracelet because it was my first and I never get tired of watching how the dichroic glass plays in the light.
