Good day to you all! Today I will be doing an FYI on several (and very similar) Pandora pieces. I will be reviewing last years Pavé Heart bracelet, very similar to the now retired love pods. When this first came out I knew I had to have it, so I got one for last year’s Valentine’s Day present and then my husband got me another one a couple of months later just because.
They come in three sizes: 6.3, 7.1, and 7.9 inches. I went for the 7.9 since they didn’t have a 7.5 and it fits just fine. I use the second catch not the first one or else it would be too large. I love to layer both of my bracelets, as they are very comfortable and light on days when I don’t feel like wearing anything bulky or heavy, here is an example:
So when the new symbol bracelets came out last year, I was excited at first as I thought I could keep layering them with my existing Heart Pavé bracelets, but when they finally got released, I wasn’t too crazy about them, maybe because I didn’t care much for the symbols they chose to represent. I’m not that into horseshoes, infinity signs, hamsas or four leaf clovers. And I already had two hearts, I didn’t need yet another one. If they had made a star bracelet I would have definitely gotten that one for sure!
So now we come to this years new symbol bracelet, the Signature of Love bracelet. This bracelet has a matching ring, charm (which could be used as a pendant as well), and matching necklace. It reminds me a lot of Tiffany. Pandora is on the left, Tiffany on the right.
So what you guys need to know is that there are actually some differences between the Heart Pavé, the Symbol bracelets, and the new Signature of Love bracelet and that is that the Heart Pavé is actually oxidized. I know many of you might be thinking “Duh I already knew that!” But it didn’t dawn on me that the whole thing was oxidized. I know the heart part was obviously to show the detailing, but I never realized the chain was oxidized as well. The Symbol bracelets are oxidized as well, however the Signature of Love is not, it’s brightly polished! Also something else to note, the lobster clasps of both the Symbol bracelets and the Signature of Love are slightly smaller than the Heart Pavé.
Here you can see the differences between all three bracelets. The chain of the Heart Pavé is slightly larger, and you can see how the Signature of Love is not oxidized. Almost makes me wish the Heart Pavé wasn’t oxidized either.
Here you can see the difference in the lobster clasp sizes. The Symbol and Signature of Love have approximately the same size clasp, where the Heart Pavé’s is larger and looks much more sturdier. I played with the clasps and they feel pretty delicate compared to the Pavé one. Not sure why Pandora decided to make the clasps smaller, maybe because the pavé bracelet is a Jared exclusive?
I hope this FYI has been informative to you my readers. This is one of the reasons why I started this blog, to help educate and inform you on the small differences that may go unnoticed or that you never knew about. Now this way you can make a more informed decision before you buy. Stay tuned for more FYI’s and upcoming reviews.
