Latest Haul: Trollbeads Winter 2015 Charms Surprise Find and Review

Today’s post is a special one as I have been waiting patiently to be able to share this with my readers! While on vacation I came across the new Trollbeads Winter 2015 and picked up the charms I wanted! I couldn’t believe how lucky I was! Without sounding like I’m bragging I believe I was the only girl in the US to have had early access to this collection and let me tell you it’s awesome! Unfortunately I don’t plan on sharing all of the photos I took but I will share what I purchased myself. I will also share my entire haul in its entirety at a later date, for now I’ll just showcase the new charms.

I would also like to state that my computer was sent away for an overhaul so I’m doing all of this on my phone, this is including the video I filmed. For those familiar with my videos you’ll notice that it will look different than my usual videos but I hope you’ll understand! I was too excited to wait another two weeks before I can get my computer back up and running so without further ado here is the video:

First Impression:

When seeing the previews for this collection I zeroed in on the Malachite bead because of its true emerald green color. I also admired the new Emerald Green diamond bead but figured it was too bright for my existing color palate. I also disagree that its emerald green, it’s more of a lime green in my opinion. The Take-off charm was whimsical and I wondered why it made its way to a Winter release and the Fireworks charm reminds me of stars of course so I had to pick that one up as well.

Review:

Let’s first start off with the Malachite. I simply adore this bead! As soon as I saw it I thought this would be perfect for my green bracelet and I wasn’t wrong, it matches perfectly:

I need to apologize again if this isn’t the best picture of this charm, try as I might I had trouble focusing on this charm, add to the fact that I’m doing all of the editing on my phone can make for a less than quality post. For a better view of this charm I suggest you view the above video if you haven’t done so already. This bead is beautiful! I picked a bead with a nice color and unfortunately the stripes aren’t too visible because of it. As always this bead is made better in my opinion because of the facets however because of the striations this bead would look just as nice smooth. This bead retails for $63.

Now for the Fireworks charm:

Here is another angle:

As as you can see I think Trollbeads interpretation of fireworks translates well here. I was hoping it would be the same size as the Joyful bead or the Spot bead but it’s a little bit smaller than them, but I don’t mind as I’m trying to be more flexible with designing my Trollbeads bracelets. In the future I will try to take side by side comparisons to better review the pieces I acquire. this charm retails for $46.

And last but not least we come to the Take-off bead:

Now the the really cool thing about this charm is obviously the texture and what I mean by that are all those little holes all around the bead. You get to choose where to thread your bracelet.

I also wonder if this bead could work on a fantasy necklace. If anyone out there gets this charm and also has a fantasy chain could you let us know if it works this way? I’m dying of curiosity. Obviously the nice thing about this charm is if you thread it higher up on the bead the charm will most likely sit up right instead of rotating not that it would really matter on a bracelet I think. This charm also retails for $46.

And that’s pretty much it!

In Conclusion:

If you happen to be lucky enough to have a Trollbeads dealer near you, I recommend you go check out these charms, especially the malachite! I plan on buying a couple more beads and of course filming it, and I also plan on taking some live shots like I did for the Autumn collection this Friday once the Winter collection is officially released. Stay tuned for that on my Instagram account. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it, even though it’s hard to type all of this on my phone! Until next time Happy Hunting!
