Review: Pandora Majestic and Angelic Feathers, Radiant Hearts and Radiant Splendor

Today’s post will be featuring part of Pandora’s Autumn 2015 collection: both the Majestic Feathers and Angelic Feathers as well as the Radiant Hearts and Radiant Splendor. I apologize though, I was in a bit of a rush, so this post will be more of a showcase of live shots versus an actual review.

First Impression:

When seeing the sneak peeks of the Angelic Feathers and the Angel Wings I thought Pandora was going down a more gothic path, and I liked it. I’m a little tired of the the overly girly and cutesy vibe, something with more edge would be nice. Not to say that the Angelic Feathers and Angel Wings can’t be cutesy, I guess it all depends on how you style them. Apologies for not putting the charms on an actual bracelet, I was in a bit of a rush and was only able to take a couple of pictures.

Review:

First I will be reviewing the Majestic Feathers, one is the open work charm and the other is the dangle:

These charms are truly beautiful in person. And yes I know, they are pave once again, but the styling of these charms are so pretty that I think if they had been made more like the Angelic Feathers, they would still be gorgeous.  I have an all feathers and sparkle themed bracelet and this will be PERFECT for it, the bracelet is still in it’s infancy as in I just have two charms for it so far, but with these new charms it’ll be done in no time!

The dangle Majestic Feathers is quite dainty, and the open work counterpart reminds me of the Galaxy charm in size. The Majestic Feather is priced at $45 while the open worked Majestic Feather is $60.

Now we come to the Angelic Feathers, and Angel Wings:

I do adore anything with feathers or angel related! I’m so in love with this collection, but then again I usually do favor the Autumn and Winter collections versus the Spring and Summer ones. Now when I first saw the Angelic Feathers, I thought it was a clip because the heart shape is very defined, not unlike the pave charms where the hearts look a little less like hearts because of the extra large core.  However I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was indeed a charm and that it has a threaded core as well.

Another thing that surprised me was to see that the Angel Wings is actually a locket! I spotted the hinges on the side and popped it open:

When you open it, you can see the pink enamel inside it, I would’ve preferred black enamel or nothing at all, just plain silver in order to accommodate a very small picture. Also I could’ve done without the flush set cubic zirconia on the wings, I think it should’ve had the same detailing as the Angelic Feathers. The Angelic Feathers is priced at $50, and the Angel Wings at $60.

Now we come to the Radiant Hearts, I have to say, I wasn’t a big fan of them when viewing the previews, but once again everything changes when viewing them IRL. I do have to say, you should try to see all charms that you may have on  your wish list before you buy, sometimes they look completely different and it can change your mind on them.

At first when I was checking these charms online I was like, “Why are they called Radiant Hearts? I don’t get it.” Well, just check this out!

You can actually see little hearts floating around in the cubic zironia! Isn’t it just adorable?! These charms will come in three different colors: blush, purple and blue, now my store had not received the blue one yet, or maybe it will be in the winter release, but why oh why did Pandora not make this in clear?? You can’t even see the hearts on the purple one, and who knows if you’ll be able to see them in the blue one. One thing I noticed though, is that this is not a blush or pink colored stone like in the online pictures. It looks like a dirty pink, I thought it was just the camera but no, the color is not a true blush, it’s more dingy, like a mauve maybe? You decide. This charm is very cute, but I don’t have anything in this color scheme so I will probably pass on it.

You can also see the hearts that create these cool silhouettes when you turn the charm on it’s side. I also noticed that the crystals are pretty chunky as they actually protrude from the charm, that is something you just cant’ see online. I actually like this, as I feel that I would be getting my money’s worth at $80 for this charm.

And this brings us to the Radiant Splendor. It’s not a bad looking charm, but it’s too similar to the Radiant Hearts, down to the sides of the charm.

I don’t understand why Pandora has started to fall into a type of redundancy, if you check out their Alluring Brilliant rings, I don’t understand why they thought they needed five of almost the same ring. Throw in the fact that there is also the Sparkling Leaves eternity band, and the Hearts of Pandora ring that just came out, seems like a lot of eternity bands. But I digress, the Radiant Splendor is a cute charm, I just don’t see the point of it when you already have the Radiant Hearts. This charm is also priced at $80.

In Conclusion:

I am very excited about the Fall 2015 collection, it’s a huge release and there’s a couple of must haves! I think with this collection, a possible Trollbeads haul coming on, and now another Rue La La sale coming up as well I think my poor wallet will be completely done! Have you checked out Pandora’s Fall collection yet? What pieced are you interested in?

I picked up the Forest Fairy charm but nothing else really struck my fancy, at least what’s being released here in North America. I had really been hoping for the olive green faceted bead and just found out its only going to be released in Europe 🙁 I’m getting really frustrated with the country exclusives. It feels like North America constantly gets the shaft from Pandora with such smaller collections.

    • Really? I didn’t know the olive green Murano was only a Europe exclusive, that is very frustrating! The one I wanted to see was the blush colored Murano, my store didn’t get it yet.

It’s interesting to note that Victoria over on the endangered trolls blog mentioned her frustration with Pandora’s inaccurate release information for the different regions for this particular collection.

After re-reading your review of radiant hearts I think I remember a blue one in the winter collection. If that gets released here I think that will def be on my wishlist.

I was so excited to see this review, and I’ll be going myself to see all the new pieces in store today! ^^ I’m intrigued by your comments on the colour of the blush Radiant Hearts – do you think it would go well with brown? Like maybe a brown leather? That’s the only thing I have to wear it on right now, haha, but I’m quite tempted by it.

    • I was very surprised to see that they do not look like the pictures online, online they look pink, but IRL they look more mauvey almost. I played around with them for awhile, and I must say they look better paired with the purple effervescence than the pink ones which I assumed would pair better with them because of the online pictures. I hope I’m being clear. Maybe you can take some pics with them on a brown leather, I think they would look nice on the browns. Let me know what you think when you see them!

I keep wondering about the Radiant Hearts. Are the hearts actually visible when the charm is on the bracelet? Because it seems to me that the effect is created by light coming from the sides and the bracelet will kind of ruin it.
Oh, I love the Majestic Feathers open work. I haven’t bought it yet just because it doesn’t fit anywhere on my bracelets. I am pretty sure that if I purchase this one, it will start an avalanche of purchases…

    • Yes they are! They are still visible on the bracelets if memory serves. And yes I totally understand, I already have a theme in mind on the bracelet designer and the majestic and angelic feathers are a perfect fit!

I will skip this crystal made charm this Fall, I prefer murano glass. I am planning to spend Can $125 to get a free $75 charm. That is it for fun! I treat Pandora only a fashion jewelry not worth anything when you need urgent fund.
