Can I just start off by saying OMG Pandora please think of better names for your gift sets? I know it’s hard because you have to come up with different names every year but seriously, “Full of Heart” sounds like the next “Rudy” sequel. OK rant over, now to why you’re really here, a review on one of this year’s Mother’s Day gift sets, the “Full of Heart” bangle gift set.

First Impression:

I didn’t much care for the bangle at first impression. Just thought once again Pandora is just recycling the bangle into another version of itself, and even though I love heart motifs, I figured I already have two of the classic bangles, I don’t need more, and I usually don’t wear charms on my bangles so I don’t need the heart pendant charm that comes with it. Boy was I wrong. Here’s a tip: if you don’t like something, don’t try it on to “validate” that decision, because 9 times out of 10 you will end up liking how it looks, and therefore you will end up having to buy it!

Review:

So as I was saying, I’m not a mother yet, so I didn’t think this gift set applied to me, didn’t want to give it a second glance, however I did, and now this set is on my wishlist! The engraving “Always in my heart” can apply not only to a the mother and child relationship but also to the relationships between spouses, so don’t be like me and feel like just because you don’t have kids yet that you can’t have this gift set! The little heart dangle charm is just lovely! It’s super sparkly and can be worn as a pendant as well if you don’t want to wear it as a charm. I’m one of those girls that likes to keep her charms looking as nice as possible, so I usually don’t wear my charms on the bangles because I’m scared of scuffs, but in this case because I wasn’t planning on buying this set, I don’t think I’ll mind wearing this charm on the bangle, it probably will get scuffed and worn, but that’s ok because I don’t plan on wearing it as a pendant. Like I said before I love heart motifs, but for some reason wearing the charm as a pendant is too much for me, I guess I think it looks a bit juvenile? That however is my opinion and doesn’t mean it’s the standard for everyone else.

The set also comes with the limited edition bangle, which has a pave set heart shaped clasp. One should note however that the pave is only on one side, the other side has a smooth silver with the Pandora logos on it. It is not like the pave Open my Heart clip like I had assumed. Also good to note, I heard through the grapevine that this bangle may be available as part of the Fall release, without the engraving, so if you want the bangle with the engraving I suggest you snatch this up before it’s too late and sells out. I guess the engraving is what makes this bangle a limited edition.

Now we come to the box. I have to say I’m impressed with the case in comes in this time. Usually the gift sets come in a round or heart shaped leatherette box, which look cheap to me, one time it came in a nice porcelain box which I miss, but this year I think Pandora scored a homerun! The fact that this box is three tiered, with separate compartments makes it an excellent travel case. It even has a mirror!

In Conclusion:

The gift set retails for $125, and if you like bangles and love layering them, then this gift set is for you! If you’re a mom, ask the family for it, if you’re not buy it anyways, the engraving can be applied a million different ways! The best part of this bracelet too is that because it has a charm that dangles at the bottom, the pretty clasp will actually sit on top of your wrist instead of the bottom for a change, so you can show off the pretty crystals! I hope to buy mine soon, maybe I can get the hubby to do it for me 😉
