Brand Feature: Lenny and Eva Haul

Welcome! Today brings a new brand that I will hopefully be able to feature here on the blog from time to time, it’s called Lenny and Eva! Lenny and Eva has a very distinctive style, very bohemian, with a “free spirit” vibe to it.  It’s also very customizable, and you can interchange several pieces at once, wear the bracelet as a necklace and vice versa.

According to their website, Lenny and Eva was created back in 2009 and is the brain child of founder and designer Kellie Fitzpatrick. Based out of Tennessee, she decided to take a chance on her idea for a new jewelry line and now six years later it has turned into a very successful business.

First off, Lenny and Eva uses brass or silver plated pewter.  When I talked to them, they did state that the brass is nickel and lead free, and the silver is lead free too, however it does contain a small amount of nickel, a good FYI for any of you with a nickel allergy. I love how the brass looks, however I do worry about the plating wearing off, so I may stick to just the silver pieces because pewter is also silver colored.  I came across Lenny and Eva on Instagram as I was browsing and decided to try a couple of their pieces out, here are my thoughts and ways you can wear Lenny and Eva.

Now you may want to start with either the Large Sentiments or the Small sentiments. The large sentiments have verses, sayings or inspirational quotes while the small sentiments have one word descriptions or virtues of how you see yourself or how you would like others to see you (at least that is my opinion on it).

Here are the measurements for both the large and small:

So they are about two inches wide (50 mm) and almost one and a half inches tall (36 mm) for the large and almost two inches wide (48 mm) and about half an inch tall (13 mm) for the small.

Lenny and Eva also have other pieces related to the Sentiments line, one is the Root Sentiments and their Monograms. The Roots look like the large sentiments, however they feature a US state with a heart in the center. These would be a lovely reminder in case you live far away from your home state or if you live abroad. The Monograms are just lovely, a lot more feminine and they look like the sentiments, however they have a more filigree or flourish border around the initial monogram.  Please do go to Lennyandeva.com to check them out!

So this is where the fun part starts! There are many options on how to wear the sentiments.  One is the leather cuffs, the charm bracelets, the beaded links, and many more ways that I unfortunately was not able to feature here. The idea is to attach the large or small sentiment onto a wide or thin cuff:

If you can see the rivets in the center, they have lobster clasps attached to them, all you have to do is attach the large sentiment onto the wide cuff, and the small sentiment onto the thin cuff and viola, you have yourself a bracelet!

The same applies to the small sentiments and the thinner cuff, it works the same way. Lenny and Eva also have charm bracelets and beaded links that you can attach to the sentiments if you are not a lover of leather:

Most of the beaded links are made out of agate, according to Lenny and Eva, although I wish they would provide this information on their website.  Not all of the beaded links are made out of agate, some are made out of pyrite or hematite, again it all depends on which one you choose:

They also have leather braided wraps (which can be worn not only as a bracelet, but a necklace and even a headband), fringe wraps (which can be worn as bracelet or necklace), and even silk scarves (again can be worn as bracelet or head wrap).  They also have necklaces, and pendants, that once again, can be worn as bracelets as well, here is an example of one:

There are so many options! One of the reasons I’m really loving Lenny and Eva right now. Now for all of you who would like a more detailed review on how to wear the sentiments, I have uploaded a YouTube video, it’s up on my channel right now, so please go check it out, let me know what you think and if it’s helped any of you decide whether you want to give Lenny and Eva a try.  And of course if you would like to check out their complete line of jewelry, visit their website, browse, peruse, and don’t forget to check out their How-to videos, they are chalk full of info!
